My take on Essence Mono Eye Shadow Olive Garden:
Packaging: These shadows come in round pan packaging with a transparent see through cover which is convenient to check out the shade. Other information regarding the shade, quantity and details are mentioned at the back of the shadow pan. The transparent cover looks little flimsy and might break during journey. Beautiful rainbow kind design is being drawn over the surface of the shadow.
Shade: Olive garden is a beautiful olive khaki shade with minute very fine gold and olive shimmers. Shimmers do not show up as such on my eyes. This shade would be very flattering on Indian warm skin tones.
Pigmentation: This shadow has medium pigmentation but its quite buildable. Over a primer, this shadow looked more intense. I wish these were more pigmented as I have to layer on lots of shadow to achieve desired results.
Texture & Finish: The texture of the shadow is quite stiff. Its not like typical pearlescent shadows. It requires lots of effort to work with this shadow because every swipe with the brush picks very little amount of product. After using several amazing products from many well known brands, I am really spoilt for choices. 😛 I would have really loved it, if I would have got hold of it when I started as a beginner. 😀 This shadow comes with pearl finish.
Staying power: This shadow stays on my eyes for some 3-4 hors maximum over an eye primer. Longevity of these shadows is not that great so usage of eye primer cannot be skipped.

What I liked about Essence Mono Eye Shadow Olive Garden:
- -Several shades are available in this range.
- -Olive garden is a beautiful olive khaki shade with minute shimmers.
- -These are quite affordable.
- -Quantity provided is quite generous for 200 bucks.
- -Beautiful rainbow like design is being drawn over the surface of the shadow.
What I did not like about Essence Mono Eye Shadow Olive Garden:
- -These are moderately pigmented and need to be layered on.
- -These are not easily available.
- -The texture of the shadow is quite stiff.
- -Staying power is some 3-4 hours maximum with a primer.
Will I repurchase it? I am not very sure but yes I might buy few these in other shades for their affordability and varied colours.
My Overall recommendation: I would recommend this range to beginners looking out for single eye shadows to try out several makeup looks. These are affordable and come with huge quantity and shades. After using many awesome brands like Inglot and Mac I am really not able to like them much. These are moderately pigmented but buildable. Its texture is quite stiff and one would need to layer on to achieve desired results. I wish these were a bit easy to work with. Matte shades from this range are quite chalky. However, one or two shades from this range won’t burn a hole in your pocket. 😛
