It’s 2 at night and you are back from a party. Dead tired and fall into bed without even washing your face. Result-You woke up with a skin which is dull and rough. Of course this wont cause any severe damage to your skin but next time we repeat the same thing and soon our skin starts paying for it.
It is always important to have a healthy skin routine .We sometimes adopt habits for which we have to pay later. Below are some habits which needs to be controlled to maintain the health of the skin.
Sleeping in makeup-We all want to skip the cleansing but wearing makeup whole night and sleeping with it is disastrous for our skin. Make up can irritate our skin , give rise to pimples and of course wonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t let the skin breathe too.
Picking at blemishes-That instant urge to pop the pimple can make us regret later .It can result in temporary scarring, redness and irritation. Just keep the hands off from your face as much as possible. By using hands on our face will push harmful bacteria deep down the skin and increase the chances of infection further.
Expired Make up-I know we all love our expensive make up but of course hygiene is something which can never be ignored. Year old mascara, unclean make up brushes, unwashed powder puff carries millions of bacteria which leave unwanted gifts like blemishes, rashes and eye infection. Keep track of the products and do not keep make up products in the bathroom. Bathroom is the place where most of the bacteria take birth in.
Over exfoliation of the skin–we all like to remove all the dead skin from our face. Products which have alpha hydroxyl acid do give us smooth skin but over use of these can dry out the skin .It can removes the natural oil andÂ make the skin rough.. Limit the usage of scrubs and use scrubs (probably 2-3 times a week) which are gentle for the skin.
Other then above there are bad habits like not using sun screen and exposing oneself too much under the sun. I myself have exposed my skin for hours and hours during my college days and never used any sun screen. This really damaged my skin and I really wish there could have been someone who would have guided me that time.
Similarly skipping moisturizer, harsh cleansing and smoking too are some of the bad habits which make our skin dull, lifeless and without any charm.
Our skin is our biggest asset and by being protective and aware we can keep it healthy for long.So lets be little active and keep above points in mind.
