Green chick peas curry(Hare chana ki sabji or Garbanzo beans curry)

Green chick peas are generally seen in salad in salad bars or some people make chats of it.I can post the chat recipe if some body ask for it.My basic motive is to introduce chick peas as a normal daily kitchen curry as it is extremely low in fat and completely a protein food. This recipe will not take more then 15 minutes and is preferred by almost every one.

Ingredients (For 4 persons)
½ cup green chic peas
3 tomatoes finely chopped
1 green chilli
2 onions finely choppes
½ inch ginger grated or giner paste
1tbsp Oil(any of your choice)
1 tspCumin seeds (Jeera)
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder(Haldi)
(1/2 tsp)Red chilli Powder
1tsp Corrainder Powder(Dhaniya Powder)
1/2tspGaram Masala
Salt to taste
2 cups water

Method:-
1.Add oil in pressure cooker.
2.Add cumin seeds when oil gets hot.
3.Add chopped tomatoes and cook them for 3 minutes.
4.Add chopped onion ,ginger and green chilli in it.Cook until oil gets separated from the mixture.
5.Add green chich peas and 2 cups of water.
6.Close the pressure cooker lid and in 4 whistle your chick pea curry will be ready.

Serve hot with Rice,Parantha or Roti.
Note:If after 4 whistles still you find them uncooked as it depends upon the water of your area then you can get 2-whistle more.You can have it as soup by grinding the chick peas and adding them in the pressure cooker.

Also some people are allergic too of chic peas as they contain purines which can lead to excess accumulation but percentage of those people is almost negligible. People with history of kidney stone should avoid over consuming of chic peas.
