Happy Ugadi


Now when I am living in Hyderabad andWise She has maximum South Indian friends I need to wish all of you on Ugadi.:)

Those who are from North India and do not know about the festival then let me share few words with you which I came to know from  few of my  friends.

Yugadi is the begining of new year’s day where Yuga means era and aadi means start(the start of an era)..my few words ends here 😛



I am looking for a nice restaurant in Hyderabad who serve special dishes on this day.Do help if you know:)

    Anu, maybe you can try Chutney’s restaurant. Even Rayalseema Ruchulu serves Ugadi special today.

  2. Nothing special….our new year is on 14 April i think…i get offs on american holidays…which are way tooo few for me 🙁

Specality of Ugad is the “Ugadi pacchadi” , which is a semi fluid which has all the tastes in it…bitterness form neem flowers, tangyness ,from raw mangoes, jaggery for sweet, chilli powder ofr hotness, oil and tamarind….it tastes verrrryyy god. I wait for myneighbouts to give it and then have it all…very tasty drink this one is.

  5. god…i danced so madly that day (i.e the night when India won world cup) that my legs were paining hard next day!! 😛 😛 😛
    and sat – sun to mai waise hi busy rehti hu…as usual 😉 😉 😉
