Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo Review

By Ishika,

Moisturizing Shampoo – HERBAL ESSENCES-Hello Hydration(Moisturizing shampoo for dry/damaged hair)
I am not a person who loves to experiment with my hair by  trying out different shampoos. I picked up this product from Mom & Me store in lure of my nieces’ toy. They had a huge range of Herbal Essences shampoos. I fell for this one as it was meant for dry/damaged hair and also the key ingredients which is a fusion of orchids and coconut milk.

What I liked about Herbal Essences Hello hydration shampoo

  1. Something presented well is half the job done.  Herbal essence range of shampoos score highly there. The transparent curvy bottles in bright and lovely shades are sure eye catchers.
  2. The shampoo bottles are transparent so you can see the amount of shampoo being used and buy a new bottle at the right time.
  3. It is decently priced and an absolute value for money.
  4. The smell of coconut blended properly with orchids makes the fragrance quite intoxicating and it does stay for long.

What I dint like about Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo

  1. It didn’t hydrate my hair as the product claims. Instead they became more dry and unmanageable. It seems as if all the spit ends are popping out in all directions.
  2. By the end of the day my hair felt really stiff and tangled.

Shampoo for dry damaged hair

My Recommendations

This shampoo may not suit everyone and using a conditioner becomes mandatory after using it. It could be because of the hot and humid conditions of Delhi. So, I will not recommend this shampoo for people who have dry hair.

Rating – 2.5/5

  1. i felt the same Prachi and they r expensive too..so trying any more shampoos like that is not in my list any more 😀

    Good morning :smoke:

  2. I had tried them some time back for my colored hair, neither the shampoo or the conditioner was worth a second purchase :(, instead of protection it lighted my hair :(:(

  3. I had tried their hello hydration conditioner! It didn’t suit me at all, instead made my hair dry, frizzy :bangbang:
I asked my hubby to try once, n surprisingly, it suited his hair so much that when compared his hair were so softer than mine inspite using my regular conditioner. Thank god, the huge bottle was not wasted !

    • i wish they would have introduced them in small bottles too..Buying such a big bottle and taking the risk is not an interesting idea .Isn’t Seema?

  4. Oh I’m sorry it didn’t work for you, Ishika, like you said, it could be the weather. For me, this is hands down my favourite shampoo from the Herbal Essences range. I love how it makes my hair all soft & silky.

  5. hi.. my hair is v.rough and v.dry plus too frizzy i was planning to buy this shampoo but because of big bottle never bught bt but instead got a bottle of blossom kochar’s aroma magic.. its a cream shampoo for dry and rough hair and its v.effective

  6. I’m pretty choosy about my hair products because I have thick, curly hair that tends to get frizzy and dry. I received a travel sized sample of the Shielo Hydrate Shampoo, and was pleasantly surprised when I used it. It smells nice and left my hair soft . . . . my hair is more manageable as a result
