Every year on Diwali we make home made Kajal (Herbal Kajal).I have used this Kajal whole my childhood and it is kind of auspicious for us.To make this Kajal at home one needs an earthen diya that can be kept over a flame for a long time.We keep them for 12-24 hours .Soot gets deposited  on the diya which  then can be used as kajal.

 

In India kohl has been used by women since centuries for its medicinal qualities. You can mix it with clarified ghee and then use it.By mixing it with ghee it gives a creamy texture.You can store it in a small jar and it stays good for more than a year too.
 You can see how dark it is.I have not mixed it with ghee before showing it to you people.

  3. Based on what I understand. The person have to buy 2 earthen diya . One has to be filled with oil and lighted up .then, place the earthen diya on top of it. Is these what you are trying to say?. Plus what do you mean by a normal diya ? .using 2 earth diya is it fine .I wish you could create a video and show the instruction on how you achieve these.
