If you thought applying lipstick is easy then ask me.I never find lipstick application that easy.Infact for me applying eyeliner is an easier task than lipstick. If you find your self being complimented for your lipstick often then consider yourself lucky because I have learnt it through lot of practice.
I am sharing some of the tips which I have learnt which have made applying lipstick little easier for me and also helped me understand make up better.
.If you play with your eyes and mouth both you will end up looking like a clown. Wearing heavy eye make up and dark lipstick is a recipe for disaster. If you are fond of wearing red lipstick then keep the rest of your make up light.
.If you want your lips to look plump then apply liner just outside the natural lip line and then apply a bit of gloss on the bottom lip.Apply in the middle of the bottom lip – this brings out a nice pout too.
.I used to think that applying lipstick with a brush will be quiet boring but when I started using a brush it really helped me in defining my lips. There are women who can apply perfect lipstick directly from the tube but I can’t.
.When I want my lipstick to last longer I first fill up my lips with liner and then apply lipstick.Using nude color lip liner works best with this trick.
.My lip gloss cant stay even for an hour but if I fill my lips with the liner and then the gloss then it sticks for a longer time.
.If by mistake you get a wrong lipstick shade then try mixing the color with some other color.Blending helps in bringing out surprising shades which you might not have thought of.
.The older we get, the creamier out lipstick should get. When your lips are chapped or wrinkled avoid matte .Prefer creamy lipsticks only.
.If you are really fond of any lipstick color and there is just wee bit left then do not throw it out.Scrape out the last bits with an ice cream stick or anything which you are comfortable in and mix it with vaseline or any lip gloss. Your lipstick will stay with you for longer 🙂
