Today I shall share with you all few easy steps to do Dark Smokey Eye Makeup. Read On.
Things You Will Need:
- Eye Primer
- Color Corrector(If you have very prominent dark circles)
- Matte Black Eyeshadow
- Matte Light Brown Eyeshadow
- Shimmery Highlighting Eyeshadow
- Business Card
- Intense Black Kohl
- Eyelash Curler
- Eye Makeup Brushes
- Brow Grooming Kit
Start with priming eye lids. There is nothing’s worse than a smoky eye that travels, smears, and settles into fine lines within few hours. With an eye primer you can stop the smearing before it starts. Use primer and blend it all over lids and under eyes to ensure that your makeup application is smoother and it stays put longer.
Dark circles kill the sexiness of a smokey eye and rather makes it look bruised and vampy. Do not ever miss out concealing those dark circles. If you happen to have very prominent dark circles then you should first try color correcting and then conceal, or else your under eye will look too white and more prominent.
Now apply a matte black eyeshadow all over your lid. Ensure to tap off any excess shadow from your brush or else it may lead to fallouts. Black eyeshadow fallouts will be a risk for your makeup base.
Now with a thin brush apply the same eyeshadow to your lower lash line. With the help of a business card align it with the lower lash line eyeshadow & the end of your eyebrow tail. Remove business card once you draw a line as desired.
Tightline your upper lash line with a black kohl pencil, and with the same kohl pencil line your lower lash line. Stretch it till the tear duct area.
Now here comes the game, which can make or ruin your smokey eye makeup, i.e. Blending. Use a light brown matte eye shadow and blend the black eye shadow with it. Blend the edges well so that the transition is smooth.
Also blend the black eyeshadow on lower lash line with the brown eye shadow. One tip to keep in mind, always use a clean brush for blending, not the ones you used to pick eye shadows.
Groom your brows. Fill in gaps if you have not done earlier. Now use a highlighting shimmery shade at your brow bone.
This is the final step. Curled up lashes with tones of mascara is a must when creating a sultry dark smokey eye makeup look. Gently curl your lashes and apply mascara.
Ta da you are done!
Isn’t it easy? I am sure it is!
