As you must be aware I talked in a brief about Intermittent Fasting as to what I try to do in it! Well, I will start with the benefits of Intermittent Fasting so that you have a clear picture in mind as to why it is great for those who cannot exercise or go to the gym but wants to have a healthy and functional body and in the process lose some extra pounds!

Diet Plans are effective when you follow them strictly but as soon as you start missing on them it starts showing on your body and whatever weight you have lost seems to come back quickly again and this is something I feel is exhausting! I mean no body can follow the diet plans too strictly. It is just that you cannot go on a diet plan while in your mind you are thinking of feasting upon your favorite dish worth many calories! It is not possible to everyday be motivated and follow the strict diet. We all are human and once it becomes a monotonous activity you do for your body, it is not enjoyable!

With Intermittent Fasting, I don’t feel like I have been following a particular diet plan. It is really something which brought a lot of difference in my body and how my face appears leaner now!

The Benefits

Lowers Insulin Level

Due to the period of fasting when you do not eat anything, the insulin levels go down which is great for fat reduction and this surely helps you in losing the excess weight you have put on!

Less Chances of Getting Deadly diseases

Following this diet reduces the chances of having diseases like high diabetes, cholesterol which are fatal and associated with heart-related risks.

Long  Healthy Life

If you follow this diet, there is quite possibility you will have lesser lifestyle related diseases like heart problems, diabetes, cancer, cholesterol so you will naturally live a longer and healthier life!

No More Cravings

The best thing about following Intermittent Fasting is that you do not get those crazy food cravings! You feel content with whatever you eat and you do not feel like trading the inbuilt sense of satisfaction for a slice of pizza! Although you can completely treat yourself whenever you wish to have something. Just get back on track the very next day! 🙂

Earlier with diets, I wanted eat something or the other and it made all my efforts go down the drain but now the case is opposite!

How Intermittent Fasting Works?

It is a simple way to do Intermittent Fasting. Just Fast for 16 hours everyday and eat in an 8-hour window! Make sure to finish the last meal of the day on time to make it effective!

Another way to follow Intermittent Fasting is the 5:2 way! You eat your regular food for 5 days in a week and the rest 2 days you have to reduce your calorie intake to just 500 calories/ per day in the 2 day fast period! These two days can be alternate days so that your body gets used to this and uses up the energy stored in the form of fats in your body!

The choice is up to you with whatever works for your routine! You will start noticing the effects in 4-5 weeks of Intermittent Fasting! Try to add healthy food in your daily routine. Junk food is not something you should have regularly anyways! Once in a while is alright but ditching the junk food would be the best thing for you!
