Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum review
Hello Sweeties, Today I am going to review one of my favorite skin care products from the well-known brand Innisfree. Thanks to Nykaa, now everyone has access to Innisfree products. I have wanted to try their products since many years but they have few stores only in Mumbai and New Delhi. Innisfree green tea range is one of their widely raved range all over the world. So do read my review to know, if it is a pass or a fail?
What The Company Says about Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum
A moisturizing serum with organic Jeju green tea and green tea seeds that hydrate your skin from deep within!
Price– Rs 1950 for 80 ml,Rs 2500 for 160 ml. Buy from here (Amazon and get a sample free as well)
Availability: Innisfree stores at New Delhi and Mumbai. Online this brand is only available at Nykaa. I have seen few Innisfree products also at Amazon but I cannot assure you the authenticity of it as most of the foreign brands are fake or insanely priced at Amazon.
Packaging: Innisfree green tea seed serum comes in a plastic bottle packaging with loads of information and ingredients list mentioned in the outer carton. It has a pump dispenser which makes it convenient and one can use entire product till the last drop. It also has a plastic cap protector, damn useful that makes the bottle travel friendly without the fear of spilling the product.
Texture & Consistency: Innisfree green tea seed serum has runny consistency compared to other serums in market. It is neither thick nor too runny also it does not have silicones and its derivatives so won’t fill your pores like the serums rich in dimethicone. The serum feels lightweight on skin and gets absorbed quickly.
My Experience with Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum
I have used face masks of Innisfree and this is the second product from this brand I have tried. Last year I had bought the 80 ml bottle of this serum and this year when they introduced green tea seed serum in 160 ml packaging, I placed my order from Nykaa immediately. It is a limited edition variant. This limited edition has 3 variants of serum, the product is same, just the packaging is different in all 3 cases.
I really liked the pricing of this limited edition serum. They charge Rs 2500 for 160 ml bottle whereas it costs Rs 1950 for 80 ml. So buying 160 ml version would be a good choice. It will last you for a long time. This serum can be used by all skin types. It has a refreshing citrusy fragrance, it reminded me of Himalaya revitalizing toner which has almost similar fragrance.
Effectiveness: This is my second bottle of Innisfree green tea seed serum, so I feel I have used it long enough to do a proper review on it. It is not possible to review a serum without using it for a considerable period. Serums are rich and contain concentrated ingredients which penetrated several layers of our skin. This serum feels light and instantly hydrates my facial skin. I do not have to follow up with any moisturiser as I have combination skin and this product does suffice my skin needs.
If you have dry skin, follow up with moisturising cream from the same range. When I started using for one month except hydration, I could not find any other change or improvement in my skin tone or texture. However with passage of time, I could feel my skin felt softer, smooth and pores looked smaller. It does not have instant brightening effect but after two months, facial skin and neck region looked brighter and even toned. Now I feel my skin has significant glow and skin texture has improved, feels little more firm and smooth. I cannot say any significant result on fine lines or acne.
It makes your skin look and feel better and it is devoid of all harmful ingredients. I also use it under my makeup, foundation glides nicely over it. It can be used as a hydrating primer for your makeup, works really well.
