Jergens Hand & Cuticle Cream Review

WiseShe Nyx Giveaway entry #8 by Revathy

Hey all! This time around I am reviewing Jergens Hand & Cuticle Cream.

Even before winter started I could see that my hands were getting more dry than the rest of the skin… and the kitchen chores in the cold water made them only worse. So I thought its time I do something special for the hands than the usual moisturizer routine and purchased this from Urbantouch.Jergens has been a famous brand since years – primarily for their body lotions and other moisturizers.

Jergens Hand and Cuticle Cream

What the product claims:

Fast & Absorbing; softens hands & cuticles 200% with just one use. Jergens fast-absorbing hand & cuticle cream helps provide immediate healing relief to dry, uncomfortable hands. The rich, creamy, non-greasy formula with soothing soy milk, softening monoi oil and naturally healing vitamin E, noticeably softens rough cuticles with just one use.

Jergens Hand and Cuticle Cream Review

Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Petrolatum, Isopropyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Paraffin, Stearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Cetearyl Glucoside, Gardenia Tahitensis Flower Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, DMOM Hydantoin, Soymilk, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Propylene Glycol, Methyl paraben, Propyl paraben, Fragrance.

It comes in a flip-open tube with a small nozzle. The cap is pretty sturdy that it would not mess during travel too. Tube packaging makes it hygienic and take only required amount for each use.

Price: INR 199 for 100 ml. (I got this for INR 185 from UT)

My Experience with Jergens Hand & Cuticle Cream:
The cream is really moisturizing. I have dry skin so anything I apply would last not more than 3-4 hrs. This hand cream is really helpful in that case. I apply this before I go to bed and in the morning I really like the soft texture it gives to my skin.
Presently I am using this only for my wrist area and fingers. It works really well on the cuticles too.

Jergens Hand and Cuticle Cream Experience

But in case one applies a little more of the cream, it makes hands so greasy that anything in your hand would slip 🙂 getting the right amount is the most important point so that you don’t overdo. Sometimes I apply it in office since due to the harsh AC cooling my hands get dry over the day and need some immediate care. Also, the tube is handy to carry in one’s bag.

The cream is off-white in color and has a mild, soothing fragrance. The fragrance lasts for quite some time and nourishes the skin immediately.

What I like about Jergens Hand & Cuticle Cream:

  • Packaging
  • Value for money
  • Available easily in departmental stores too
  • Works really well on dry skin too

What I don’t like about Jergens Hand & Cuticle Cream:

  • Loaded with chemicals
  • Has parabens too

My rating:

  • Availability: 3/5
  • Price: 4/5
  • Product: 4/5

Will I repurchase: May be.

I am totally open to suggestions for some herbal hand cream. Please suggest something that’s tried & tested for dry skin before I set out to buy my next hand cream or the same one 🙂

  1. I have this..its quite moisturizing must say..but i keep using hand sanitizer so often in a day that every hand moisturizer fails..wish they had a sanitizer WITH a strong moisture base..Santa are you listening
