Just Herbs Lush Methi Shikakai Shampoo
The summer heat is on the extreme and girls like me who sweat a lot are going hanky panky to keep themselves clean. Every alternative day I have to wash my hair to get rid of the dirt and sweat but again detergent based shampoos dry out my scalp. This is the reason I got an SLS free shampoo for my Oily hair.

About Just Herbs Methi Shikakai Shampoo:
Price: 425 INR for 200ml
Smell and consistency:
Just Herbs Methi Shikakai Shampoo’s fragrance resembles rose water; it is mild and very pleasing. This would not bother sensitive noses. The consistency is perfect, nor very runny but good enough to be able to dilute it and apply.
A transparent long bottle is used to pack the shampoo which is helpful because one is informed before the product runs out. The labelling has all kinds of information in details related to the shampoo. In short although simple yet the packaging is not boring.
My Take on Just Herbs Methi Shikakai Shampoo:
My scalp is oily and every second day I try to get a head bath but due to dry tresses, I avoid harsh shampoos. This time the sweating is making me suffer so badly that I am yearning to get my scalp cleaned every single day but due to time constraints I cannot do so. Somehow I manage to do it on alternate days and a mild shampoo like Just Herbs Lush Methi Shikakai accomplishes this job perfectly. Methi makes the hair strong and shikakai is a natural detergent so the formula is definitely amazing. I take a small quantity and dilute it in water before applying.
It lathers really well although it is formulated without sulphates. After washing it off I apply my regular conditioner to the ends of my hair strands and rinse it later on. It removes oil, dirt and sweat in one simple wash without making scalp dry when used very often like I do. The best part is that my dry hair strands do not become lifeless after the wash even when I skip the conditioner. Although it is formulated for oily scalp yet normal scalp people can try it too.
Being paraben and sulphate free it is safe for people who have a sensitive scalp or weaker hair roots like mine. The effect of the hair wash stays as it is even on the second day. One thing is that if someone has a habit of oiling hair very heavily then two washes are required to get rid of the oil completely. Also, the fragrance is so pleasing, unlike other natural shampoos which stink because of the infusion of herbs used or have an extremely strong fragrance.
Summing it up:
What I like about Just Herbs Methi Shikakai Shampoo:
- Sulphate and paraben free
- Removes sweat and dirt in one wash
- Lathers well
- Oily-haired beauties can use it very often
- Does not give dull lifeless hair
- Adds bounce to the strands
- Pleasing Gulab Jal like smell
What I dislike about Just Herbs Methi Shikakai Shampoo:
- Heavily oiled scalp need two washes to get rid of the oil
Overall verdict: In all this is recommended to girls who have normal to oily scalp and need a mild detergent free formula to feel safe while washing hair very often. This is the perfect package in one product as it is preservative and detergent free, cleans scalp thoroughly without drying out hair. Hope you find this helpful!
