Dig in too know how Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo Complexe fared for my dry & wavy hair.

Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Zea Mays / Corn Germ Oil, Argania Spinosa Oil / Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Camellia Kissi / Camellia Kissi Seed Oil, Pentaclethra Macroloba Oil / Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Coumarine, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum / Fragrance.
Price: Rs.2450 for 125ml.
Packaging: The oil retails in a transparent plastic bottle that has a pump dispenser. I received two 3 ml sample sized tiny bottles of it, so the samples totals to 6 ml.
Texture: It is a bit towards thicker side when compared with other serums or oils present in the market. It has more of a gel consistency.
Fragrance: The fragrance is amazing and unique. The fragrance is not very overpowering and only lingers for a while.
The hair oil is extremely light in texture. In fact It is not exactly a oil, it is more like a gel based hair potion which works as a hair oil and also as a hair serum.
Kerastase claims it to be a multi functional product, and it surely is multi functional to some extent, but for my thick, wavy , dry hair I happen to like using it only in two ways. The sample that I was not provided was not enough to be used as a pre wash for my thick hair.
I like using it as a conditioner and as a frizz control on the way serum. I apply it to damp hair and it makes my hair shinier & soft. When used for frizz control, it works well here too. Only a dollop or two is needed for my wavy, dry hair that reaches up to my waist in length. The effect of the elixir lasts for around two days. This clearly shows that the effects that it has are temporary and the moment you wash your hair it’s effect goes off completely.
Overall this is good when used as a conditioner and a frizz control serum. I would say that as a multi functional elixir this may prove a better bet for normal hair than dry hair.
What I like about About Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo Complexe:
- Pleasant fragrance
- Works well as a leave in conditioner and serum.
- Controls frizz.
- Makes hair shinier and softer.
- Does not weigh down hair.
- Gets absorbed quickly.
- Workable consistency.
- A little quantity is required for each usage.
What I Don’t like About Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo Complexe:
- It is easy to go overboard with it, which will leave your hair greasy.
- Contains Silicones.
- Temporary effects.
Will I Recommend: If you are on a look out for multi functional hair elixir that deals with all your hair problems then you must definitely try this. This specific product will work well for fine to normal hair types, but for thicker drier hair not all claims stand true.
