Kryolan Makeup Tutorial – How to Use Color Corrector, Paint Stick & Highlighter + Video
I have previously shared my favorite products from Kryolan. I did a video tutorial for you ladies on how to use their color corrector, paint sticks and highlighlighter. Check my video below and find the written instructions as well on how I did this this look.
Check out how I use the well-known Kryolan Orange Color Corrector, Paint Stick for contouring, Kryolan Translucent Loose Powder along with Liquid Highlighter also called as Kryolan Shimmering Event Foundation Pearl. These are all very famous products from Kryolan. It is required to have knowledge and practice to use them well. So, I thought I should do a tutorial so that you get an idea on how to do this in a better manner.
- Kryolan Orange Color Corrector
- Kryolan TV Paint Sticks in FS 36 and Negro 2
- Kryolan Translucent Loose Powder
- Milani Baked Blush in Shade 02
- Kryolan Shimmering Event Foundation Pearl
- NYX Simply Red Lipstick
Kryolan Orange Color Corrector
To start with I’ve primed and moisturized my face well. Once everything gets absorbed, I’ve applied the orange color corrector to camouflage the dark circles and other dark areas from my face. I’ve created the upside down triangle just below my eyes and I’ve applied the corrector in the areas which needs color correction. Also one more thing you should remember is to leave the corrector on the face for about 2 – 3 minutes before applying foundation to get the maximum results out of it. It might look thick to you when I’ve applied the color corrector but with the super blending brush which is the real techniques brush the corrector blends in very well without making it look thick.
Kryolan TV Paint Stick in FS 36
Then I’ve used Kryolan TV Paint Sticks which are very famous and are used for brides, party makeup, photo shoots, etc. These provide medium to full coverage and are long lasting. So, I’ve applied it all over my face and neck and I used the shade FS 36 as my base shade. Kryolan products are quite thick and so I found the best way to blend these products is to blend them with a beauty blender. I’ve reviewed this beauty blender before as well. You should pay little patience while blending this foundation since it is pretty thick and you cannot use them on everyday basis but can be used on special occasions only. So, I took some time to blend this well which you can see and know how to use the beauty blender in my video below.
Kryolan TV Paint Stick in Negro 2
After using the paint stick in NS 36, my face looked little flat. So, I’ve used Kryolan TV Paint Stick in Negro 2 shade which I think is the best shade for the Indian skin tones between NC 40 – NC 45 for contouring. I’ve applied this shade under the cheek bones and under the jawline. If you do not see the cheekbones then you make a pouty fish face or a tuck face so that they emerge out. I’ve applied it on my forehead area and the darker sides of my nose so that it appears little slimmer. I’ve blended this using the other side of the beauty blender since I used the first side for my previous foundation. I’ve applied the contouring shade to my jawline to give it a more refined look and to my neck area as well blending out with a beauty blender.
Kryolan Translucent Loose Powder
Then I’ve set my foundation and contour with a translucent loose powder from Kryolan. I am a fan of this loose powder and this is my second tub. It takes forever to finish one tub and this is a fab powder. I really recommend this powder if you are a fan of Kryolan products or if you live in a hot and humid weather.
Milani Baked Blush in Shade 02
Then I’ve used a blush which is a baked powder blush from Milani and its shade is 02. It is a very beautiful coral, orange and golden sheen blush that looks very natural on my skin tone and it doesn’t look very OTT.
As it is quite hot and humid in the area I live I’ve used the liquid highlighter which is called Kryolan Shimmering Event Foundation Pearl after setting the powder but I always prefer using it before setting the powder. I can’t resist since it is really hot here. I’ve applied the highlighter on the cheekbone areas which is basically above the blush area and I’ve applied it on the bridge of my nose and gently blended it out with my finger itself. I’ve applied it over my forehead as well. It is little difficult to blend it with the powder applied before but it’s manageable.
NYX Simply Red Lipstick
I’ve finished it with a red lipstick which is a beautiful red shade called as NYX Simply Red. To make my lips little neat I’ve applied foundation all around my lip area with the help of a lip brush and blended it well with the beauty blender itself.
That’s it. I’m done with all the four products which I wanted to show you. Hope you like my tutorial.
