I was on a shopping ban…I am talking major makeup shopping ban gals. About 4 t 5mts back I realized how much makeup i had accumulated and stopped buying anything new until I made a satisfactory dent in my existing stash. 5mts down and I finished a whole load of eyeliners which turned out ti be perfect considering the new launches fro m Lakme and Colorbar. So i was treated to a few goodies and today ill be reviewing one of my favorite from Lakme!

My experience with Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Liner Vineyard :
Packaging: It comes in a packaging similar to that of Revlon gel liners: the littl pot of color with the tapered lid which pops out to a brush. The brush is really good and functional as well. I was a bit concerned about how this would fit into my acrylic drawers but they do very well. 🙂
Color: The color is a deep purple with a fanblous sheen. There is no glitter or shimmer at all so its very work appropriate as well.
Texture & Pigmentation: The texture isn’t creamy as I’d thought; infact its more like a mousse..akin to whipped cream. Its not deeply pigmented like I’d hoped but it does require about 2layers to show up well.on my lids.
Staying Power: I applied this at 12noon and it was intact when I returned home at about 7pm. Even the sheen was as if freshly applied so i have no doubt this could stay the same for 12hrs easily. It doesn’t snudge easily once set which is another plus point.
I have mixed feelings about this liner. I had expected a deep purple since that is how it shows in hand swatches as well. But be forewarned it requires atleast 2 coats on the lids to show up well. I am a sucker for all purples so I dont mind really..
I love how easy this is to apply. The brush makes it easy to draw a thick or thin line as desired. It doesn’t flake (i had a horrid flaking experience with Rimmel liquid liner) but is fairly easy to remove. I detest liners which require lots of rubbing during removal so this is dear to me.
What I like about Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Liner Vineyard :
1. Texture is almost like whipped cream and easy to apply
2. Has an amazing sheen and is work appropriate as well.
3. Comes with a brush which is quite functional and since it is attached to the base theres no danger of misplacing it.
4. I dont think this will dry fast like Inglot or Loreal gel liners.
5. Doesnt flake and has a good staying power.
6. Can be used as an eyeshadow as well.
What I don’t like about Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Liner Vineyard
1. Lakme seems to have gone crazy with their pricing but i think I’m finally wrapping my head around it…
2. Needs to be layered for the shade to show up densely.
These liners are def worth a try. I had been avoiding them since I was not a fan of Lakmes new price hike but considering all brands seem to be either hiking prices crazily or not offering a variety of shades this seem to be a savior of sorts. So what are you waiting for?? Go grab a shade or 2!
