Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Make-Up Remover Review+eye makeup removers best

I think this is one of the best investments I ever made.  Before I found this I was scared to use eye make-up,

cause the one thing I’m fond of – ‘mascara’ was the one thing I could not take off properly.  Vaseline and the likes made my vision cloudy, did’nt help the skin around my eyes and because of the force I was using to remove the makeup I developed darker circles and wrinkles . Much scrubbing, tugging and many lost eyelashes later I found the right eye make-up remover.

Lancome bi facial non oily instant cleanser for sensitive eyes

When you look at the Bi-Facil remover you will notice that the dark coloured liquid sits on top of the lighter one.  Well that shows you the two layers that the product is made of – oil and water.  It’s got a bi-phase formula that’s  activated when you shake the bottle.  The chemistry behind a ‘dual phase formula’ means the chemical has a oil loving side, and a water loving side and that when mixed lowers the surface tension of a liquid (make-up).

Before I go any further let me tell you that this product is a DOUBLE WHAMMY! Ladies who use ‘CONTACT LENSES’ and ladies with ‘SENSITIVE’ skin – THIS IS FOR YOU!

In the first picture you will see the product as it is and in the second after it has been ‘ shaken not stirred’ :p.  Iinorder to use it you have to give it a shake to activate the dual phase formula.  Then get some on to your cotton ball, pads or buds and make sure that you do not use too much product to avoid having it drip into your eyes.  Place the cotton onto your eye area, leaving it on for 5 seconds lightly pressed and then sweep the makeup off gently. You will see that it leaves no hint of makeup and no oily residue.  If you ever have make up removers get in your eyes, be sure that you rinse your eyes thoroughly with warm water.

Max factor lip infinity paso fase review and swatches

In the above pictures, I’ve used a variety of products to show you how well the remover does its job.  Amongst the swatches are waterproof mascara and eyeliner. I’ve also done a swatch of waterproof  lipstick and its reallly waterproof just to test the efficiency and none of the products stand a chance in front of it.

Last but not the least, are you thinking the same thing I thought when I bought this????  Can it be used  on the face to remove  the rest of your makeup?  Well, it does remove all traces of makeup, but using eye makeup remover for the rest of your face can be a problem as well not forgetting that because its much more expensive than a face cleanser, better keep it ‘FOR YOUR EYES ONLY’.  On the flip side although you may find that your regular face cleanser is great for removing most of your makeup, the skin around your eyes is very delicate, and it is usually best to use an eye makeup remover to avoid irritating this sensitive skin.

Ladies, if you want good skin it is important that you understand all the pros and cons of what your using on your face and how to use it rightly and effectively for best results.

How to ‘Choose the right makeup remover and use it properly’.

The first step is to find the right kinda make up remover for your eyes.  If you have sensitive skin, use a gentle and natural eye makeup remover that will not cause irritation.  If you have oily skin, use an oil free eye makeup remover to make sure that you do not develop breakouts.

Once you’ve found a suitable eye makeup remover, be sure to use it correctly.  Often times its best to use a cotton ball to  apply and remove eye makeup.  When wearing water proof makeup you should soak your lashes a few seconds to get even the most stubborn stuff off.  After, rinse your face with water to make sure that you get all of the eye/face makeup remover off.

  1. awesome review Christina.:).I have been wanting this badly for many months but bcoz of the price, never got it..Hope to convince myself n get this asap.btw how long does a bottle last u?

  2. well I got mine last year in November or so and well the photos show u how much still remains. It will surely last you more than 6 months if you use it daily. But leave lasting aside and I would say get it just because you can’t afford to play with your eyes 🙁 A sub standard product may do some seious damage 😥

  3. This luks great..Waterproof mascara can be a real pain to remove and this sound good…the only thing is the price..I think I will stick to my Maybelline remover for now and save up for this one…nice review Christina 🙂

  4. In 6 months I used up only quarter of the bottle. so u know i think this would suffice the entire year. think about it as 150 rs a month on an eye makeup remover – minus all the tugging and pulling and dripping and burning and cloudy vision and black eyes and wrinkles from rubbing. isn’t that a great buy then???

but listen dont SOAK the cotton instead just get a bit on the cotton. Don’t just put and wipe – that will cause all of it to smudge and then u will again put more product and then again it will be all over and again more product and then tugging and its useless. U have to LEAVE the cotton on the makeup for 5 to 7 secs. and then swipe off. If u get this right u will get all your makeup off in one go and u will be able to use just enough product. The product has to break down the eye makeup and so that takes time. practise this ‘WAITING FOR 5 MINS technique’ with water then go and buy the product. I also had to learn how to make it work for me….and once u figure it out it will do a fab job!!!

  5. Erica u keep 200 in a secret place in ure cupboard every month and get this for ure self for christmas!!! it’ll happen. That’s how I save for things. I took a year to save up for this one and the pleasure you get from buying it outta your money is the best thing…..I used to spend alot on outside food. Lazy to cook for myself. Then I got wise…everytime I was bout to dial the restaurant number I took that same amount of money of the food I wanted and stored it in a mud piggy bank. 1 year later I had some 3,000 rs. I got my super Clarins face wash with it and Bi- Facil…. I’m loving these smileys Anamika
