I think this is one of the best investments I ever made. Before I found this I was scared to use eye make-up,
cause the one thing I’m fond of – ‘mascara’ was the one thing I could not take off properly. Vaseline and the likes made my vision cloudy, did’nt help the skin around my eyes and because of the force I was using to remove the makeup I developed darker circles and wrinkles . Much scrubbing, tugging and many lost eyelashes later I found the right eye make-up remover.
When you look at the Bi-Facil remover you will notice that the dark coloured liquid sits on top of the lighter one. Well that shows you the two layers that the product is made of – oil and water. It’s got a bi-phase formula that’s activated when you shake the bottle. The chemistry behind a ‘dual phase formula’ means the chemical has a oil loving side, and a water loving side and that when mixed lowers the surface tension of a liquid (make-up).
Before I go any further let me tell you that this product is a DOUBLE WHAMMY! Ladies who use ‘CONTACT LENSES’ and ladies with ‘SENSITIVE’ skin – THIS IS FOR YOU!
In the first picture you will see the product as it is and in the second after it has been ‘ shaken not stirred’ :p. Iinorder to use it you have to give it a shake to activate the dual phase formula. Then get some on to your cotton ball, pads or buds and make sure that you do not use too much product to avoid having it drip into your eyes. Place the cotton onto your eye area, leaving it on for 5 seconds lightly pressed and then sweep the makeup off gently. You will see that it leaves no hint of makeup and no oily residue. If you ever have make up removers get in your eyes, be sure that you rinse your eyes thoroughly with warm water.
In the above pictures, I’ve used a variety of products to show you how well the remover does its job. Amongst the swatches are waterproof mascara and eyeliner. I’ve also done a swatch of waterproof lipstick and its reallly waterproof just to test the efficiency and none of the products stand a chance in front of it.
Last but not the least, are you thinking the same thing I thought when I bought this???? Can it be used on the face to remove the rest of your makeup? Well, it does remove all traces of makeup, but using eye makeup remover for the rest of your face can be a problem as well not forgetting that because its much more expensive than a face cleanser, better keep it ‘FOR YOUR EYES ONLY’. On the flip side although you may find that your regular face cleanser is great for removing most of your makeup, the skin around your eyes is very delicate, and it is usually best to use an eye makeup remover to avoid irritating this sensitive skin.
Ladies, if you want good skin it is important that you understand all the pros and cons of what your using on your face and how to use it rightly and effectively for best results.
How to ‘Choose the right makeup remover and use it properly’.
The first step is to find the right kinda make up remover for your eyes. If you have sensitive skin, use a gentle and natural eye makeup remover that will not cause irritation. If you have oily skin, use an oil free eye makeup remover to make sure that you do not develop breakouts.
Once you’ve found a suitable eye makeup remover, be sure to use it correctly. Often times its best to use a cotton ball to apply and remove eye makeup. When wearing water proof makeup you should soak your lashes a few seconds to get even the most stubborn stuff off. After, rinse your face with water to make sure that you get all of the eye/face makeup remover off.
