Coming back to this sabji.It needs less spices and is quiet light on stomach.Excellent for digestion in summers and those who are recovering from ailments can try this too.Ideal to eat during fast and is quiet fulfilling too.
1 medium lauki peeled and cubed
1tsp ginger grated1 tsp cumin seeds(Jeera)
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste(rock salt in fast)
Â¼ tsp black pepper powder
2 green chilies chopped
2 medium tomatoes diced
Â½ tsp. turmeric
Coriander for garnish
Step 1 – Take a pressure cooker and add 1tsp. of ghee in it.
Step2 – Add cumin seeds and let it splutter for a while.Add green chillies, ginger and stir for few seconds again.
Step3– Add turmeric, chilies, ginger and stir for few seconds until all the tomatoes get soft.
Step4- Add turmeric, salt, pepper, garam masalas and stir.
Step5-Add lauki and 1/2 cup of water and mix it well.Put the lid and get 2 whistle on medium heat.
Garnish with coriander seeds and serve hot.
