Comparison Post: Maybelline Colortattoo Eyeshadow Versus L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow
A few days ago, I had reviewed the Colortattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best inexpensive base colors you will find. However, my friend, the amazing Anamika asked me whether I could make a comparison post betweean the Infallible and the Colortattoo.
I happily obliged.
First Comparison: Price
Maybelline Colortattoo is priced at 350/- for 4 gm.
L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow is priced at 450/- for 3.5 gm.
Second Comparison: Blend and Texture of Maybelline Tattoo Vs L’oreal eyeshadow
While the Maybelline eye shadow is a cream based one, the best factor about it is that it blends like a dream. I repeat. Like a dream. I have found the color of the L’Oreal to be better, as it is a lovely shade of dark chocolate with shimmers, yet on my pigmented eyelids, the color barely shows up. Not a good sign, that. Also, the application is slightly uneven and streaky, and there’s fallout.
Bad to the Bronze, on the other hand, shows up and blends on my eyelids gorgeously. The color does not crease (YAY!) and the only gripe I have is that I must blend it fast, because once it sets, it sets for a very long time.
Third Comparison: Staying Power L’oreal Infallibe And Maybelline Color tattoo
Okay, here is where Maybelline rules. When I applied both, it was eight in the evening. This picture is 11 in the morning the next day. I have found this comparison very decisive.
The color at the bottom is Bad to the Bronze, the color still almost intact, and the mostly gone color on top is Endless Chocolate. So, in staying power, this one rocks.
Maybelline Colortattoo Eye Shadow: 3.5/5
L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow: 2/5
