L’oreal Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer Review

I think I must have read some 100 reviews of L’oreal Magic perfecting base face primer till now.It is such a popular product and have seen bloggers abroad including in their must have list I was kind of  desperate to try this out.Come on ! Who doesn’t want to smooth out flaws, fill in lines and reduce open pores  and get a great perfect canvas with makeup. This is what L’oreal claims and every one raves about.

  • Price – I got it in $17 dollar (INR 917)  which was kind of expensive but as it is yet to reach India and I don’t know when it will, I didn’t care about the price.

L'oreal face primer reviews

My experience with L’oreal Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer:-

  • Product has a mousse kind of a texture and it blends out into this skin with in no time .It smoothens out dry areas and if you have oily t- zone then it mattifies it.
  • Since the time I have started using the product I require very less of foundation and it helps  in giving air brush finish to the foundation. After using the product, my skin absorbs the foundation like a sponge.Interesting isn’t ?.I now need less of blending and it has fastened up my foundation routine.
  • After using this my foundation last for 8-9 hrs therefore as a primer it’s just too good.
  • Product doesn’t hide pores as such but reduces them a bit and makes them look smaller. Best thing is it smoothens out the skin giving makeup a flawless finish.
  • Primer looks light pink in colour but when applied it leaves no trace on the skin.It only gives out soft feeling .
  • I have some dry areas around my nose and it smoothens them out  and my foundation just glides over it.
  • It smoothens under eye fine lines as well but doesn’t banish them  which in any case is not possible I believe.
  • It minimizes the size of pimple .It doesn’t completely eliminate it but reduces it down.

What I do not like about L’oreal Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer:-

  • It’s a silicon based product which is the reason it makes my skin oh! so so smooth.
  • Not available in India but there is L’oreal Base Magique  Primer which has the same packaging and ingredients. So basically the packaging and name of the product is different rest everything is same .

Will I recommend it to others – I already have a back up of this 🙂

Have you tried L’oral Magic Perfecting Base ?

  1. Am so waiting to get this once my TBS one is over! :yippee: It’s the same as Base Magique Ana. L’oreal n maybelline change the packaging and product names based on different regions. Sadly, the quality differs in a few. Let’s hope urs is better that way 🙂

  2. this is awesome! but i think i saw this on medplusbeauty.com..i guess online shopping can be given a go for this product..or was it base magique?(isn’t that french for magic base? anyway..) but i’m sure i saw it there!
