L’oreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer Review

Hey Girls!

Today I am writing for the most important and basic step towards makeup preparation and that is about – Primer. As I mentioned earlier in my previous posts also that I have a sensitive skin which is prone to acne and scarring. I already have quite big acne scars and open pores on my face that bothers me a lot and makes it difficult to apply and keep makeup on my face for a long time.

My experience with L’oreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer:

I was looking for a primer that is thick and could give me a good coverage and fill in my pores and hide fine lines too and I am really excited to tell you all that it does it ALL. 🙂 Yes, my skin feels much better with makeup now than ever before. This is my first purchase for a primer. Gosh! I wonder how come I never tried a primer before? I tried MAC and other high end brands primers too (before finally choosing L’oreal) but they worked only like a tinted moisturizer for me. Please check the pictures to actually find out the real difference.

Tip: Apply it right after moisturizer as it blends in well on skin with it and is required lesser in quantity than just applying it on bare (dry) skin.

  1. Good stuff….Even if u did’nt conceal the flaws, you’d still make very photogenic pictures….cause of your good features….. 🙂

      • you know what bhawna, this is what I’ve learnt…..while i am worrying about the world seeing me as an overweight person…the world sees all the other good things…same way while ure focused on ure skin, everone else is like ” wow great face n features” and its only cause u mentioned your skin that I noticed it…..otherwise I wouldnt have……. please don’t be concious bout it cause ure worth more than that.

        • That’s very sweet of you. :hug-makeup: I have somehow started to be happier now ever since I started using makeup. So, basically ya, its totally very important to be happy with ourselves and accept the way we are. :victory: Definitely working towards improvements can help. :cute:

  2. Thanks Navneet. :-)) But I would say this might be too thick for some so always better to try it at the store. 😉

  3. I remember trying out in the store but felt it too greasy on my combi skin…does it make you feel oily? would love to try it out again and you seriously have gorgeous features especially love your eyes 🙂

  4. Thanks Parita. :-)) First of all I would like to tell that my mom’s name is also Parita, quite rare name though 😀 Well, not at all, rather it makes my skin matte and fills in pores due to its thick consistency. :rock-n-roll: . The much appreciated MAC did nothing for my skin (problem), but this did. :dance-left-right: Its just that it should’nt be over used.

    • OMG really? i dont come across Parita named beauties a lot 😀 thanks a lot bhawna..i’ll again try it out in the store..may be when i tried my skin was already exposed to sun and pollution so i cudnt see the effect..i love mattifying products!

    • Hehe.. yes! I was tempted over that too. The moment the NewU store guy in DLF, Saket told me this is free, I was like “pack it” 😛 The clutch he showed me seemed old and dirty, I was praying inside my  hoping that he has a fresh piece too… :silly: :rotfl:

  5. Amazing! My skin is so much similar to yours. The pores just kill me all the time. Thanks for this review. Definitely gonna buy.

    • Oh! I can imagine, just a trick, I’m not sure if others will understand though. 😛 Just stretch in your skin where your pores are more visible and then apply, it WILL make a difference. :victory:

    • Ya, but it will last me for a good time. :victory: Imagine I was not using anything before buying it as primer and the concealer foundation would make my skin so greasy and horrible in this hot weather so… this is worth every penny. :lipstick: Also, I think primers are expensive anyway. And I found it to be reasonable enough, whereas other brands are even higher. O:-)
