My experience with Loreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick Cherry Crush:
As I have already told you, they come in the most gorgeous packaging you’ll ever get to see in this price range. I can relate it to YSL lipsticks packaging and I totally adore the site of 10 of these sitting on my dressing desk. The looks are absolutely classy. Not just the looks, but they are built strong too. If these Loreal guys charge a good amount they make up for it as well; that is what I feel having used these lipsticks.
Coming to the texture, these go true to their name- moist matte which means they go smooth on lips while application like a moist lipstick and still give a beautiful matte finish. There is no dry feeling while application but you got to have well exfoliated lips for any matte lipstick and this is no exception. If not the case, you may spot some flaky dry lip skin after you apply this lipstick which is not so aesthetically pleasing. I could see most flakes on the lips with this shade on. May be the exfoliation wasn’t enough for my dry lips or this shade accentuates the flakes more.
These lipsticks have a very rich pigmentation overall. Coming to the shade description- This is nowhere a cherry shade; rather it is a light bubblegum pink shade, which as you know does not suit everyone. This shade is exclusively for very fair beauties. All others- beware. As for me; I can wear this shade only on very good skin days. On other days, it washes me out. So although this looks really pretty in the bullet, it does not compliment Indian skin tone that well. I would recommend not buying this looking at the hand swatch, rather trying on your selves first. Also, on layering this shade appears ghastly, so avoid doing that. 😛
The staying power as with matte lipsticks is good. This will last up to 4 hours with light meals; full meals will sweep away the lipstick from the center of the lips. In the latter case I would suggest you to wipe it off completely and then reapply or else it may not appear as good as freshly applied.
There is absolutely no offending smell with this one, so that is another plus point.
Overall, no matter how much I love this range, I would not suggest you to buy this particular shade until you are very fair. In that case, it would look flattering on you but not otherwise.
What I like in Loreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick Cherry Crush:
- Royal and sturdy packaging.
- Bubblegum pink matte shade that comes in some high end brands only.
- Moist matte finish is amazing
- Pigmentation is superb
- Stays for long
- Impressive quality
- No offending smell
What I do not like in Loreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick Cherry Crush:
- Would accentuate dry lips (more than the other shades) if not well exfoliated.
- This shade may not suit everybody, so try on before buying.
- Would appear patchy if you layer on after sometime of first application or after meals.
Rating: 3/5 (for this particular shade)
Until next time, take care!
