I hope you remember my review on the forest green eye shadow single from Loreal which I reviewed a few days back. And today’s review is on a similar eye shadow single from Loreal in shade “Violet Petalâ€. I was pretty happy with the previous one, so lets see if this impressed or depressed me.

My experience with L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow Singles Violet Petal:
Packaging: The previous version was a cream colored square packaging. But now L’Oreal has reformulated the packaging, and I am sooo happy with the new one. It is a black case with a transparent plastic strip on the lid to see the color within and the lid shuts perfectly. Cute, sturdy and goes easily in the smallest vanities. It even has a sponge applicator of decent quality.
Shade: A beautiful shimmery lilac on the pan and looks dusty silver on my lids. I am actually happy that it looks silvery rather than true lilac. I use it as a all-over color on lid or blend in other shades for a more dramatically contoured look. I even use it as inner corner highlighter. A tiny bit of it works great as brown bone highlighter too.
Texture: “Violet Petal†has a soft and smooth petal like texture and it blends easily and beautifully. It blends like butter with other shades too. It has got one of those impressive smooth textures of high eye brands, but at such a low price.
Pigmentation: Awesome pigmentation. It is incredible in just one single swipe. This can be used both dry and wet. And with wet, it is naturally more intense.
Staying Power: Awesome staying power of 8+ hours. It stays on without any creasing or fading.

Final thoughts (Recommendation/Repurchase):
A unique shade with a texture to die for. Long-wearing, pigmented, crease proof and easily bendable too. The shimmers are really soft and just add to the beauty of the shadow. It is flattering on eyes, illuminating them, without making lids look too frosty or creepy. It makes me look fresh and awake.
I would love to buy once I finish this pan and would definitely recommend this to all. Pair it with blues, greens, pinks, purples, blacks or any color of your choice.
P.S. These products have not been covered previously on Wiseshe and we are covering all these products now in our new series, “BLAST FROM THE PASTâ€.
