I had never been a brush gal…until A. I hold her entirely responsible for my brush addiction…Pre-A, I have never contemplated having so many brushes let alone MAC! But thanks to her i know how to value quality over quantity and to that effect today ill be reviewing one of the stars in my brush closet…the MAC 235 🙂
As visible, this looks exactly like other MAC brushes despite being a LE brush. The brush number is printed on the front and is prone to fading.
This is a split fibre brush..meaning that one side is made of natural goat hair while the other side is synthetic.
Price: INR 2100
Washing & Drying: Ive washed this enumerable times and am happy to say that there has been no bleeding and minimal shedding. It takes about a day to dry completely.
How to use it?
Well, natural fibred bristles are superb for powder products and synthetic bristles are preferred for cream products. I use the synthetic side to apply paintpots or Maybelline color tattoos and the natural bristles side to apply powdered eyeshadows.
Why I like this brush
1. I travel a good bit and this is a good brush to carry along.
2. Makes for faster application since one only has to flip the side and apply.
3. Does not bleed
4. Dries quickly
Reasons not to buy this
1. Too large to apply products in the inner corners easily.
2. Expensive (although i feel its justified considering we’re getting 2 brushes in 1)
Final Verdict: I personally love this brush. I hate using and carrying a ton of brushes and thanks to this, my eye makeup is a tad bit faster. It’s not a must have though and is a bit of a luxury considering the pricing but if you are an eye makeup lover then this is a collectible for you. My only complaint is tbat i wish the bristles were a bit shorter so that i could use this in the inner corners of the eye since this is quite large and requires a good bit of manuvering to apply a shadow in those areas.
