MAC Lipstick Honey Love

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are doing well. This is my first review for Wiseshe and I am so excited for that.

Here is a saying “There’s no such thing as having too many lipsticks” I am sure all of you girls will agree with that. We all know how wonderful the lippies are from Mac; in fact these are so awesome that you just can’t have one! After trying out Mehr and Cosmo I decided to buy a nude shade from their collection. So, amidst the wide range and array of colors that Mac provides, I finally decided to get my hands on Honeylove. So, this is my take on it.

MAC Lipstick Honey Love

Quantity: 3gm

Price: Rs. 1440

Shell life: 3years from the date of manufacture

My experience with MAC Lipstick Honey Love :

Packaging: this gorgeous lipstick from Mac is encased in a sleek black bullet case with a twist up function. The twist up function works properly without any lagging. I have seen many people complaining about the ever-so boring packaging of Mac but to me it feels classy and posh.

Shade: This particular shade is light beige with traces of pink. My complexion yellow toned fair so this color slightly washes me out. However, the girls with fair complexion with cool tones with find this lipstick absolutely perfect for their nude collection.

Pigmentation: The color is completely opaque and happily covers all my dark patches on lips. One cannot have any complain with the color pay off. Moreover, this color doesn’t bleed at all.

Texture: The lipstick glides over my lips with butter and works pretty well on my dry lips too. I am always surviving with chapped lips but this lipstick causes no difficulty to me. The texture is matte yet creamy without any hint of shimmers.

Fragrance: This product has the typical vanilla fragrance of all the Mac lipsticks. The smell is neither over powering nor faint. It just has the amount smell and I don’t think anyone would have an issue with it.

Staying power: it stayed on my lips for around 5hours and faded leaving my lips with a hint of pinkish blush. The color doesn’t interfere much with cups and glasses if you prefer to take sips in between. With meal, this color survives only 3.5-4hours.

Works best with: this color will work absolutely great with dark and bold eye makeup or smokey eye makeup. If by any chance this shade washes you out, like any my case, try to blot the color and apply any pink/brown color on top of it. You shall get your desired MLBB shade.

What I like about MAC Lipstick Honey Love :

  • Classy and travel friendly packaging.
  • The neutral shade is beautiful which would happily suit the fair skinned people.
  • It doesn’t require any lip balm prior to the application of lipstick.
  • The beautiful matte texture.
  • Glides smoothly on chapped lips too.
  • Staying power is pretty good.
  • Doesn’t stain the cups too much.
  • Mild vanilla fragrance.

What I don’t like about MAC Lipstick Honey Love :

  • This neutral color would not suit all the skin tones, esp. the wheatish and dusky complexion.
  • The shade is a bit tricky to carry.
  • Sometimes it washes me out completely.

Will I recommend it? If you are fair with cool toned and love nude lips, go this shade. This will be an amazing color once paired up with smokey and sultry look.
