My take on MAC Liquidlast Liner Point Black:
The packaging of M.A.C Liquidlast Liner is quite simple. It comes in a typical black plastic yet cute tube with a tiny applicator attached to it. It is medium sized making it very handy to carry it around in my handbag. There are many other beautiful and colorful shades to choose from other than Point Black. The brush is quite slim which is great for a precise clean application but the only problem is that it gets clumpy after some time.
Color: Like the name describes, Point Black is a true black liquid liner in a creamy finish. It is awesomely pigmented in just a single swipe as seen on both the hand and eye swatch. I prefer my black liners to be super opaque. I have used it on the eye swatch below with M.A.C Stars n Rockets eye shadow.
Texture: The consistency is cream based and glides over the lids effortlessly. Just the right formula for an eyeliner, which is not thick nor is it too runny. It goes on creamy and settles to a beautiful dark finish after a while. I have sensitive eyes, so most of the times my eyes get watery while applying eye products because they sting. But this liner didn’t sting at all or cause any kind of discomfort. I don’t like the short brush much though.
Staying power: The wearing time is just incredible. After the application dries, it will stay put as long as you want it to. There is no question of smearing. The formula is smudge free and non flaky. I always remove it using a makeup remover or oil based cream since it is a water resistant liner. It will work just as great on oily lids too.
What I like about MAC Liquidlast Liner Point Black:
- Compact packaging
- Intensely pigmented
- Dries fast
- Travel friendly
- No runs or drips
- Glides smoothly
- Long wearing
What I don’t like about MAC Liquidlast Liner Point Black:
- The brush tend to get clumpy after a while
Rating: 4.8/5 (Minus .2 for the brush)
