I love MAC lip glass which is great to tone down or add life to darker shades and this is one of those shades you would pair with pale neutral looking lipsticks or vampy shades . MAC makes some amazing layering gloss and I will be showing you some more shades in coming posts .
Size – 4.5 ml, Price – 1190 /- INR, Available at MAC stores across India
My experience with MAC Oyster Girl Lipglass :
Shade – OYSTER GIRL is described as Freshwater Pink, it is pale white beige pink with super fine silver golden shimmer to it. This is awesome shade to layer over darker shade, on its own it is hard to carry on my medium skin tone, and if you are lighter then this may make a good natural looking glossy lips.
Texture – It is sticky and heavy on lips like all MAC Lip glass and if your lips are not well conditioned it may appear patchy. Due to sticky nature it stays nicely and evenly without settling in fine lines.
Pigmentation – It is decently pigmented, looks little sheer in single layer but with two layers it is almost opaque. If you layer it a lot, it may appear uneven and patchy.
Staying power – I hardly wear this on its own but if I do, it stays for around 3 hrs and if paired with any lipsticks it adds a little life.
What I like about MAC Oyster Girl Lipglass :
- It is great as layering product.
- The fine sheen shimmer looks wonderful.
- The staying power is great and when I pair it this is even more wonderful.
- The doe foot applicator is great for even application.
What I don’t like about MAC Oyster Girl Lipglass :
- The sticky nature and the recent price tag.
- The shade on its own doesn’t show up much on darker skin tone.
Ratings – 4/5
Recommendations – The shade is more of a layering product, it does looks nice on dark vampy shade or even on nude lip colours , on its own it doesn’t show up on my NC 40 skin tone , if you are little lighter then you can easily make this work for you .
