Makeup And Styling Of 10 Reel And Real Life Celebrity Brides
Wedding Makeup is surely an elaborate affair for the quintessential Indian Bride. And when I am talking about a celebrity wedding, you should expect everything grand and perfect.
When I was small seeing my favorite actresses getting married again and again onscreen made me so happy. I was eager to see how they look in different attires with different grooms and in different sets. The curiosity deepened with years, and now I am more interested in what they wear, which designer they choose, how they do their makeup and how many millions worth of jewelry they flaunt on their ACTUAL wedding day.
So today I’ll be talking about makeup and styling of 10 reel and real life celebrity brides.
Aishwarya Rai in Jodha Akbar
She looked very bit an ideal Rajasthani bride. Neeta Lulla was behind her look and she once said, “The tones of saffron, emerald and red made her look like a goddess. The jewelry in particular, will never be forgotten for the intricate detailing and dazzling gems.†Her makeup was kept simple. For eyes just a wash of matte peachy gold on eye lid and kohl on lower lash line completed by mascara. Her lips were understated as well. Her all natural makeup balanced the bright red-saffron attire and heavy gold jewelry.
She wore a beautiful pinky-beige sharara with blue-emerald green-golden border designed by the Ritu Kumar. The style dates back to the Mughal era. The outfit consists of a kurta, farshi pajama and dupatta. The heavy gold necklace, earrings and maang tikka with small emerald drops and minimal makeup to complete look. For all her wedding related functions, Dia had maintained not to go overboard with anything. Her makeup and accessories were all mid toned and emphasized her natural beauty. Who need makeup when you have such a pretty face and gorgeous smile?
She looked ethereal. The T.V actress wore stunning peach and red heavily worked Sabyasachi lehenga. Heavy gold-kundan jewelery, subtle kohl smudged eyes and bold red lips. She looked drop-dead gorgeous. Whenever I think of any celebrity’s bridal look, her smiling bridal look flashes in front of my eyes.
Soha Ali Khan
On the wedding day, Soha looked elegant and utterly gorgeous in an orange and golden lehenga with traditional passa tikka. Soft kohl smudged eyes with hints of gold and red glossy lips. She looked so Royal.
She looked very beautiful in the stunning white and beige lehenga. I loved her makeup on her D-day. She looked dewy and glowing. Her eyes were accentuated with a dramatic wing on lid and heavy kohl on bottom lash line. Natural looking flushed cheeks and peachy pink lips to finish off her look. And ohh..!! the million dollar smile J
The bubbly actress looked simple and beautiful in a Neeta Lulla red georgette saree with kundan works and borders. Traditional Maharashtrian gold jewellery completed her look. But what I liked the most was her makeup. Her makeup was very refreshing and simple. She was a young bride and I liked the fact that she did her makeup as per her age. No stark makeup, kohl, neutral lips and dewy glow.
Sanjeeda Sheikh’s Nikah Look
The gorgeous Sanjeeda Sheikh opted for a deep bright green sharara with a long kurti for her D-day. She symbolized the perfect Muslim brides. The heavy jewellery, Jhoomar maangtika altogether made her look really adorable.
The ever gracious Drashti Dhami looked astonishingly elegant dressed in a red ghagra. In her elegant attire topped with the perfect Kundan jewelry and more than perfect makeup, the actress looked breathtakingly beautiful. Her kohl rimmed eyes and perfect matte red lips on her flawless canvas take breathes away.
Alia Bhatt in 2 states
There is no doubt she looked every bit a diva on her onscreen D-day. She wore a beautiful Sabyasachi red Banaras silk lehenga that had banarasi zari work borders. She paired her outfit with a mustard-orange blouse that had amazing zari work on the neck and the sleeves and a red net dupatta. She complimented her ethnic look with coin jewelry choker set and matching kundan earrings. A traditional gold waistband completed her Bridal look. No words. For her makeup, it was sweet and simple. Just soft kohl on eyes and muted red stained lips. She did have a little bit of color on her cheeks too, but that was natural as well.
Yami Gautam in PC.Chandra’s gold jewellery
Last but not the least, I would like to include Yami Gautam in the list. This picture is from an advertisement hoarding of P.C Chandra Jewelers. She looked every bit of a quintessential Bengali bride. Her makeup was subtle yet super stunning. Red bindi, heavy gold jewelry and red benarasi to complete her bong bridal look.
So these are my favorites!
