Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Pink Shock
So girls! Here I’m with a review. I am too lazy to review products frequently but when I really like something, I just need to share it with you all. I’m reviewing a lip balm for the first time even though I have 5-6 lip balms all the time in my stash. I like using non-tinted lip balms for daily use but when I am going out and need a simple look, I prefer tinted lip balms over lip colors.
I have quite pigmented lips and my upper lips is brownish while the lower is pink and brown 🙁 So even though I need a pigmented lipstick to look all primped, I love tinted lip balms for their ability to give a natural look. OK, so lets find out about this much talked about lip balm from Maybelline.

This lip balm comes in an outer carton which I threw away immediately owing to my decluttering obsession. It had ingredient list too but I cannot find ingredient list on Maybelline website. It does not contain parabens though.
Packaging: I love the cute looks of new baby lips. These look elegant and classy. These lip balms come in a black lipstick-style case with a clear cap. The cap is color coded and so my Pink Shock has prints in pink and the top of the cap is also pink.
Packaging is sturdy but the complete lip balm bullet does not go inside the case and so you need to be really careful when opening and closing these lip balms. I indented my Baby a little while trying to apply it in a moving car.
These are only 4 shades available in India and I chose Pink Shock as it was said to be the brightest and very pigmented. Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Pink Shock is a hot pink shade. It is really pigmented for a lip balm. The shade and pigmentation is same as MUA Power Pout Broken Hearted which I love a lot.
My experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Pink Shock:
As I said, I really like this lip balm. It is pigmented and covers pigmentation to a good extent. This lip balm is like a sheer lipstick only more hydrating. It is more pigmented than even the Nivea Fruity Shine lip balms in Strawberry and Cherry.
The tint stays for 2 -3 hours if you do not eat or drink anything but disappears as soon as you do. I do not have dry lips so I can’t comment on the hydration claim but yes it keeps lips soft and prevents chapping.
The lip balm is smooth in texture and glides easily on lips. It has strawberry lip balm kind of fragrance or maybe like watermelon as it is watermelon flavor 😛 The scent does not bother me and is not too strong either. I like the smell actually.
Finally I would say that it is the best lip balm for pigmented lips.
What I like about Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Pink Shock:
- Very well pigmented
- Pretty Packaging
- Beautiful shade for every skin tone
- Nice fragrance
- Keeps lips soft
What I do not like about Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Pink Shock:
- Lip balm bullet may get damaged if handled carelessly
- Will not last for 8 hours as claimed
