My experience with Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Crushed Candy:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a shiny black plastic packaging and the cap click shuts firmly. The packaging actually takes you to the days when usually all lipsticks had this black colored rectangular packaging, typical old school types.

The best feature of the packaging of this lipstick is the shiny colored band that shows the color family of the lipstick.

The color coded stickers at the bottom of the lipstick makes it easy to detect the color in your stash

Texture: The lipstick has a very soft, creamy and smooth texture. This lipstick is applied effortlessly on lips but theer is something that I do not like about its finish, it is very frosty and does not fare well in close focused pictures.

Shade: It is a nice cooler toned bubble gum pink kind of shade.

Pigmentation: This shade is not insanely pigmented, it has a semi sheer coverage but the color can be built up with multiple swipes so that is not a problem. But it may look streaky with numerous swipes so I would suggest not more than two – three swipes else you will have streaky- insanely frosty looking lips. They are very light and layering does not bother my lips.

My Take: I quite like this color. It is a lively bubble gum shade very apt for fun color lovers. This color may not look good on old aged women and at the same time duskier skin tones will be washed off with this shade.

This color will only look flattering on lighter to medium lighter skin tones.

This is definitely not a great pick for your dull face days.

I wished it was a little better with pigmentation and at the same time so much frosty finish is not what I am into.

Coming to the staying power, the lipstick stays on for some 2-3 hours without meals, little drinking and light snacking is okay and after which it leave s a beautiful tint behind that lasts for fairly good duration. A good makeup remover will only be able to remove the last traces of the color.
