My experience with Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick 310 Nutty Cookie:
Packaging:Â The lipstick comes in a shiny black plastic packaging and the cap click shuts firmly. The packaging actually takes you to the days when usually all lipsticks had this black colored rectangular packaging, typical old school types.
The best feature of the packaging of this lipstick is the shiny colored band that shows the color family of the lipstick.
The color coded stickers at the bottom of the lipstick makes it easy to detect the color in your stash
Texture:Â The lipstick has a very soft, creamy and smooth texture. It settles to a glossy finish and has no shimmer at all.
Shade: The color is a dark shade of brown, darker than any nut actually.
Pigmentation: The shade is decently pigmented; just a couple of swipes will give even application and opaque coverage. Indeed just a dark color would look bad if layered, so try not to go beyond two swipes.
My Take: I am actually not a great fan of browns and specifically such dark shades. I know that in fall such dark shades are preferred but for me, I have my own fashion rules and I have never stocked such a dark brown lippy.
Coming to the lippy, it has a common shade of dark brown that many Indian women love to carry.
The shade wins over the pigmentation front and wow is the term to describe its texture. But there is some weird problem with this lippy.
It settles in lip lines, which was not such a case in lipsticks that I have reviewed earlier from this range.
The lipstick stays on lips for a max of 3 hours and it fades of unevenly leaving no stain behind. Its staying power is actually affected by its easy transferability. The lipstick transfers to almost everything that your lips come in contact with.
This shade will suit almost all Indian skin tones. Overall I am actually not happy with this particular lipstick.
What I Like About Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Nutty Cookie:
- Smooth – Creamy Texture.
- Color coded stickers makes it easy to identify the color.
- Sturdy packaging.
- Does not dry lips.
- Does not bleed.
What I Don’t Like About Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Nutty Cookie:
- Fades off Unevenly.
- Settles in lip lines.
- Stays for only 3 hours at most.
- Transfers a lot.
Will I Recommend: No, only for the shade liking you can buy it, but expecting anything more will be disappointing.
