My experience with Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick 410 Wine Divine :
Packaging:Â The lipstick comes in a shiny black plastic packaging and the cap click shuts firmly. The packaging actually takes you to the days when usually all lipsticks had this black colored rectangular packaging, typical old school types.
The best feature of the packaging of this lipstick is the shiny colored band that shows the color family of the lipstick.
The color coded stickers at the bottom of the lipstick makes it easy to detect the color in your stash
Texture:Â The lipstick has a very soft, creamy and smooth texture. The texture is super soft in application and it has an extreme creamy finish.
Shade: It is a very bold wine shade which leans more towards brown. The shade has got some very obvious undertones of brown. Thankfully there is no shimmer in this lippy. The shade is definitely not for the faint hearted.
Pigmentation: This shade is insanely pigmented. Just a single swipe on lips and the bold flush of color is there on lips covering all lip pigmentation. The shade is pretty dark & bold, so I will not just using two swipes of it.
My Take: The shade is certainly not my types. It is a bit too bold for my taste. But for the bold trend makers the shade will make up for an ideal choice.
The lippy has an amazing texture. The lippy glides like butter on lips and is also prone to bleeding due to its creamy texture.
The pigmentation of this shade is again fabulous, just a single light handed swipe gives opaque coverage on lips. The color is so intense, that a little misapplication is not very easy to correct. So one needs to be extra careful while application, using a lip liner with this lippy will be good idea.
The lippy stays on for 4 hours and leaves behind a strong tint behind.
Overall this is a decent lippy for bold shade lovers.
What I Like About Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Wine Divine:
- Smooth – Creamy Texture.
- Color coded stickers makes it easy to identify the color.
- Awesome color pay off.
- Sturdy packaging.
- Decent staying power.
- Does not dry lips.
- Feels light on lips even after layering.
- Total value for money.
What I Don’t Like About Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Wine Divine:
- A very bold shade not for faint hearted.
- The stain will only be removed with a good makeup remover with multiple wipes.
Will I Recommend: Since I was not biased in giving the ratings, I cannot be biased in recommending too. Though many may not like the shade, but for the ones who like bold, intense shades, should definitely give this shade a try.
