Hey all beauty geeks!!! I am a self-proclaimed lipstick hoarder. I love almost every color in a lipstick, however, pinks and purples are my weakness. So are reds and corals. 😉 Ok lets put it that I love all bright colored lipsticks. But somehow, even though I love purples, the lipsticks in plum or purple shades either go goth on me or make me look dull. I do love gothy lipsticks for fall season, but how I wished atleast one purple shade could brighten my face. You have guessed it by now!!! This lipstick does that and so much more 🙂

My take on Milani Color Statement Lipstick 20 Uptown Mauve:
Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Uptown Mauve belongs to the family of Plums & Berries. Â It is a violet mauve with a cream finish. It looks more pink on the lips than on the tube. And this is why this color looks gorgeous on the lips. It instantly gives a glow to the face which lot of purples & mauves lack. It is brighter and pink-ier version of MAC Rebel.
Texture: The lipstick is insanely creamy in texture. Looks so comfortable on my lips. Does not dry the lips or emphasize any lines.
Pigmentation: Highly pigmented color in just one swipe. Â The color can be build up without looking cakey.
Staying Power: Stays put for 4-5 hours and leaves behind a pretty bright stain.
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a shiny gold tube with a mirror finish. The bottom of the lipstick carries the color of the lipstick.
Smell: Has a wonderful watermelon smell 🙂
What I love about Milani Color Statement Lipstick 20 Uptown Mauve:
- Love this particular shade of mauve.
- Opaque and even color.
- Impressive staying power.
- Hydrating and creamy feel on the lips.
- Looks and feels like a luxury lipstick.
- Extensive shade choices in the line.
- Affordable price compared to the quality.

What I do not love about Milani Color Statement Lipstick 20 Uptown Mauve:
- May transfer easily.
- The smell may bother some people.
- Fingerprints are easily visible on the packaging.
- Unavailability in India.
Final Impression: I am impressed with this lipstick and the subsequent line. Will surely pick up other shades in the same collection. Definitely recommended!!
