Mushroom Masala

There are about 14000 types of mushrooms in the world but only 3000 are edible. There are poisonous species of mushrooms also so avoid picking up mushrooms from forests or nearby gardens, buy those which are available in market only.Mushrooms are used in salads,soups,gravies and sandwiches etc.

Below here is an instant mushroom recipe .It is an excellent dish and goes with rice ,paratha or roti.
Ingredients (Serves3-4)
11/2 cup mushroom cleaned & sliced
2 medium onion chopped
2 tomato chopped
1 green chili (chopped)
2tbspmilk cream(milai)
1/4tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1/4tsp chilli powder
Kasoori methi(dried fenugreek leaves)
1/4tsp cumin seeds

Method:
1.Heat oil,add cumin seeds into it.
2. Add chopped onion and fry until brown.Add chopped tomatoes in it.


3.Add all the above masalas leaving kasoori methi and saute it till the masala leaves water from it.
4.Add milai(fresh cream) and mix it for 2 minutes.

5.Now add mushrooms.Reduce flame and cook for 10-minutes until water leaves.If required add water but generally its not required.

6.After 10 minutes add crushed fenugreek leaves into it

Your Instant mushroom masala is ready to eat.
