Must Know Nail Painting Hacks

Hello pretty ladies!

How have your days been passing? Gone are the days of bright spring-summer nail-paint colors, and coming is the nail trend of vampy, deep colors! Whether you go for a bright manicure or a nude or subtle French manicure—what really matters is not the kind of manicure—but how it is done. A pair of well done manicure looks well done when it is actually done well! ok, do not get confused, I was just trying to get a bit poetical. 😛

Here I am about to share the most sought after nail painting hacks, which will help the amateurs to achieve a flawless at-home manicure, and for the novices who seem to know these tricks—give yourself a pat on the back, sit back, relax and enjoy reading the post! 🙂

Use a white base coat

Perhaps, the easiest but the most neglected nail painting hacks available to the world of nail polish lovers, but I don’t know why people don’t use it as much as it needs to be done! Apply a thin coat of any white nail paint as a base coat. Wait for it to dry and then apply the color of your choice. You will see the difference in the opacity of the color you chose!

The corn flour-matte effect nails

How to do matte nail enamel+care nails

Matte nails are all the rage these days, not to forget that their prices are at a similar rage too! Now I cannot afford to spend say 900-1200 bucks on a bottle of a matte nail paint or even a matte top coat. An easy, and cheap alternative to matte nails is to mix up a bit of cornflour to a small amount of your clear top coat (any brand) and convert it into your very own matte top coat!

Glue-and-water cuticle saver

How many times have you accidentally strayed away from the actual nail and dislocated the nail varnish onto your precious cuticles? I used to do this all the time, but after getting to terms with this amazing little hack, I have perfectly painted nails every time I try! Mix up some fevicol kind of glue and water and make a mixture out of it. Using a thin brush (even paintbrushes will do), apply the thinnest coat of the mixture to the sides of your nails—on your cuticles! Let it dry and then go ahead with your favorite polish color. After the polish has dried, use a pair of tweezers and gently remove the glue layer which is sitting snugly on your cuticles.

The ice-cubes magic

easy manicure steps at home

Most of us would have heard this amazing trick to dry your nail paint—the faster way. I am a very impatient person, and this worked for me—I hope it does for you too. In fact the very fact that it worked for me is the sole reason that a relatively well-know nail hack deserves a space in this list! After about 3 minutes of having applied your nail polish, dip your nails in a bowl filled with ice cold water (throw in a few ice cubes along, if your skin can handle the low temperatures). Keep the nails immersed for about 3-5 mi9nutes and take out super-dry nails—almost instantly. No more waiting periods! 😉

Again, a yet easy matte nail polish hack is to use some steam to give your manicure that matte looking sauciness! Fill up half a glass with steaming hot water and place your nails over the steam for about a minute or two. Be patient and bear the steam, it will work matte-wonders for your nails! Guaranteed!

The stubborn glitter

Perhaps the most wanted nail hack which people have been dying to know is this one. We all have had moments of glitterati on our fantastically shaped nails. Undoubtedly they look fantabulous! But what about the time when it starts chipping and you want to get rid of it for good?

The nasty glitter would just not come off. A very easy, and comfortable hack to remove the stubborn glitter from your nails is to take a cotton swab dipped in acetone and wrap it around your nail completely. Now take a small piece of foil (aluminum foil—the one you can easily get from your kitchen shelves) and wrap the cotton-wrapped finger nail with it. Now let the wrapping stay on for a couple of minutes and with wiggly, pressing motions, pull out the aluminum-cotton wrap out from your finger nail to reveal totally clean nails!

Have you tried any of these Nail-Painting hacks before?
