Namak- pare a Salted Savoury
This is a simple snack apart from the bhajias,I make whenever it rains.
To make1 Cup
Maida/All purpose flour -1/2 Cup
Salt-1 tsp( You can add according to your taste)
Water Â¼ th Cup( use warm water)
Cumin seeds- 2-3 pinch
Put the flour in a bowl, add salt and ghee and pour water little at a time and mix the ingredients to get soft dough.

Knead the dough and cut it into two equal halves and cover them with a damp cloth.
Heat Oil in a Non-stick deep pan or a Kadai
Take one half and using a belan or rolling pin,roll this into a circle about half cm in thickness , you can use a little amount of flour to sprinkle to avoid the dough sticking to the surface.
Cut the rolled dough into squares using a knife.

Take these cut squares & deep fry them until they turn golden brown.
Remove these squares using a slotted spoon and place them on tissue papers for the remaining oil to get absorbed.

Enjoy this in the evenings as a snack.
You can even make a sweet savoury the same way which is called
Shakar-Parre a typical Hyderabadi snack
with just a simple variation which is boiling sugar in water for 3-4minutes and using that to knead the dough with a pinch of salt and avoiding cumin seeds if you donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t want them.I hope you will all try this and like it!
