Neem(Azadirachta indica)tree is quite popular in India and has been used by our ancestors since ages. You can find many products now also which have neem in them .It can be found in tooth paste, soaps and creams too. Neem tree contains antibacterial properties which help in curing many skin diseases.
Other vernacular names include Neem (Hindi, Urdu and Bengali), Nimm (Punjabi), Arya Veppu (Malayalam), Azad Dirakht (Persian), Nimba (Sanskrit and Marathi), DogonYaro (in some Nigerian languages), Margosa, Neeb (Arabic), Nimtree, Vepu, Vempu, Vepa (Telugu), Bevu (Kannada), Kohomba (Sinhala), Vembu (Tamil), Tamar (Burmese), sÃ¡ÂºÂ§u Ã„â€˜ÃƒÂ¢u, xoan Ã¡ÂºÂ¤n Ã„ÂÃ¡Â»â„¢ (Vietnamese), and Indian Lilac (English). In East Africa it is also known as Muarubaini (Swahili), which means the tree of the 40, as it is said to treat 40 different diseases.
Because of its antibacterial properties it is widely used in acne cure. Below here are few remedies which can be used to cure acne and which has neem as its main ingredient.
1. Apply neem oil on the acne regularly
for 2-3 days. You will see redness and swelling disappearing within
two to three days itself. The high fatty acid present in the neem oil prevents the acne from occurring and treat them without side effects.
To apply the oil wash your face with a mild face wash and apply the oil on the acne 2-3 times a day.
2.100% natural neem soap is recommended to people who suffer from frequent acne problems.
3. Take handful of neem leaves and burn them to ashes. Mix Vaseline in it and apply on your face every day. Wash off the mixture after half an hour with water. This remedy helps in removing blackheads and acne.
4. If someone is prone to frequent acne problem
then taking neem supplements purifies the blood and prevents acne. It clears up the skin condition and makes it healthy too. Take 1 capsule 3 times a day for a month or till acne dries up.
