New Maybelline Colossal Kajal 12 Hour Review & Swatches

Maybelline Colossal Kajal 12 Hour

Colossal from Maybelline came like a rage. Everything that looks yellow and black use to remind us of colossal at one point of time. The kajal was a hit from the entire lot.!! Well, now this one has come in a new pack and formula and surely after the brags about the older one there was a little chance that I would miss on this one.

My take on Maybelline Colossal Kajal 12 Hour:

This one hit the market about 2 weeks ago and it got sold like hot cakes. No wonder, because the aura that previous one created was still in the air. Anyways, I ordered it online and it took awfully a lot of time to get delivered but finally was in my hands.

The packaging of this kajal is the same as the previous one.  It comes in a slim yellow tube and twisting mechanism. The size and shape of the tube is the same and there is no excitement on that part. I am not sure if it was a marketing strategy to keep the casing the same.

Anyways, coming to the kajal. This one is definitely more darker than the previous one. You can see the difference when you apply it.  This one is a bit more creamier in texture as well. Well, it’s not as soft as a cake but the previous one was a bit harder to apply on the eyelids and this one gives no problems there.

The claim of 12 hour is untrue. It doesn’t last 12 hours at all. To the maximum on my eyes it lasts for 6-7 hours that too fading to the lighter shades. The smudge free claim is also not true. It does smudge after some hours. Overall none of its major claims are 100% true.

This one doesn’t sting or irritates my eyes. The lead looks delicate and might break like previous ones.

Finally, for the colossal lovers go for this one instead of the previous one. For non-colossal lovers you can skip this one – nothing great here.
