My experience with Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm Watermelon:
Packaging:Â This tinted lip balm by Nivea comes in white plastic body that work with retractable mechanism and has color coded caps. There is nothing very new in the packaging other than the imprinted image of the respective fruit variant. I quite like the slant shape of the cap actually, which makes it look a little better than the years old horizontal cap packaging.
Texture: It has a balmy texture, which in any way it is supposed to have. It is very light on lips and feels absolutely non-sticky even after multiple swipes. It has very fine shimmer particles which add a gorgeous shine to lips and are not at all chunky.
Fragrance: It has a fragrance which somewhat feels artificial to me. I do not find it real but it is yet now overpowering for sensitive noses.
Tint Pay Off: This lip balm has got a cool toned pink tint which is not much evident in a single swipe only 3-4 swipes will be able to get color on lips.
My Take: Watermelon is one of the two new launched variants, the other one being Peach, you can check out the review here.
The texture of this lip balm is good but I do not like its fragrance as much as I like of other variants. This lip balm lacks tint which again is something to dislike. Honestly I feel if any lip balm is presented as a tinted lip balm, then the brand should take it in deep concern to provide a little tint at least to show up slightly in couple of swipes, multiple swipes definitely give some color but then it gives so much of balm on my lips too.
It moisturizes lips and keeps them moisturized for good 3 hours. But this will certainly not work in healing dry and chapped lips
Overall the lip balm is good for keeping lips hydrated but the minute tint will be disappointing.
What I Like About Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm Watermelon:
- Nice, sturdy packaging.
- Light texture.
- Amazing fruity fragrance.
- Shimmer particles add beautiful shine to lips.
What I Don’t Like About Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm Watermelon:
- Will not heal dry and chapped lips.
- Needs re application after every 3 hour.
- Tint does not show up easily.
Will I Recommend: Not really, till the time you are a fan of such minutely tinted lip balms, you should give this a pass. Pigmented lips will definitely have a hard time using this lip balm and get some color.
