Spaghetti With Tomato Sauce Recipe

We all love Italian food and use those jarred sauces to give a treat to our taste buds…. Well well well those preserved sauces are not the healthy options, so how about some homemade spaghetti with tomato sauce??? This recipe that I am sharing with you is easy to make and will surely leave behind those preserved sauces in terms of taste and is moreover a healthier option too .

 

 

  • Serves 6.
  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes.
  • Cooking Time: 45 minutes (including the spaghetti cooking period).

 

Ingredients:Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce Recipe:-

•8 ounce package of spaghetti.
•2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
•1 medium sized onion, chopped.
•3 garlic cloves, crushed.
•1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage (or ¼ teaspoon in dried form).
•2 teaspoons tomato paste.
•2 ounce crushed tomatoes.
•1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil (or ½ teaspoon in dried form).
•1 tablespoon butter
•Salt to taste
•Freshly ground pepper

For Garnishing:
•Crushed red pepper
•Grated Parmesan

Instruction: Method And Preparation:-

1. Cook spaghetti according to directions given on the package.
2. In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium flame.
3. Add the chopped onions and sauté till the onions turn translucent.
4. Add garlic, sage & parsley and sauté for 1 minute.
5. Add tomato paste and stir for 1 minute.
6. Add crushed tomatoes to the pan and d bring to simmer.
7. Stir in basil and reduce heat to medium-low.
8. Simmer. Keep stirring until the sauce thickens, for about 30 minutes.
9. Remove from heat. Stir in butter. Add salt & pepper to taste.
10. Serve sauce over spaghetti noodles with crushed red pepper and grated Parmesan, with cheese on the side (cheese being optional).
