Have you guys tried Nykaa Rock the line kajal? It is surely a new launch from Nykaa but has grabbed eye balls due to its chic look and great affordability. But is the kajal really worth the hype? Well, I am little confused here and have my share of doubts.Thing is market today has wide variety Kajal .
Be it Lakme Eyeconic Kajal 22 Hour Smudge Proof or the old favourite Maybelline Kajal so to survive in these is little difficult. As far as Nykaa is concerned, brand is giving us good competition and I like the variety which are coming up.This kajal too comes with its ups and down and read below my experience.
What Nykaa Rock The Like Kajal Claims:-
The company claims this kajal to be a waterproof, smudge-proof and transfer-proof formula that lasts all day and gives you a gorgeous look. It is an intense all day wear long kajal that is loaded with triple pigments, Vitamin E and Vitamin C. It gives a rich colour pay off for the whole day.
Price  – 199 INR for 0.35 gms
You just have to apply this kajal like any other kajal along your waterline, lash line and upper lash line.
The kajal comes in a very chic reddish pink packaging that looks very girlish. All the information is mentioned at the back which is really helpful for all its customers. The ingredient list is not mentioned which is a big con for me. The claims of the brand like “No animal testing” and “Dermatologically tested” is clearly mentioned. Overall for me, the packaging is very nice and chic.
The texture of the kajal is really smooth and glides beautifully on my eyes. Only a single swipe is essential for its colour pay-off. It is really soft, as claimed by the brand and surely doesn’t tug my eyes. For me, the intensity of the kajal is pretty good and I am quite satisfied with the pigments.
But the good points ends here only, now coming to why I don’t like the kajal. The Nykaa Rock the line kajal is not waterproof and smudge-proof. If you just glide your hands once on the kajal it gets erased in a wink. It will definitely smudge in summers due to its creamy texture but definitely less than Eyem balck kajal from Nykaa.
But yes, one thing that I would like to mention in this post is that this kajal is great for smoky eyes. This kajal doesn’t dry down fast and so it can be easily blended and we can create a beautiful smoky eye effect with this one. The Nykaa Eyem black kajal is smoother than this one in terms of smoky eyes too. Eyem one has a glossy finish and can be a better option for creating that smoky eye look whereas Nykaa rock the line is a matte kajal.
But one point that we should keep in mind while choosing the apt kajal – smudge factor. Nykaa Eyem black kajal smudges due to its gel consistency and spreads a bit which is visible on the lower lash line as well whereas this Rock the line kajal fares a better result in this category.
This is me wearing Nykaa Eyem black kajal in which you can see the smudging on the lower lash line.
Look how beautifully the smoky eye look is created!
