Packaging- The lip color comes in a chubby pencil form which resembles the Lacquer lip balms from Revlon. These are basically retraceable pencils which come in color coded plastic bodies and have a transparent plastic cap to save the tip from getting damaged. The other details related to the shade name etc. is mentioned on the chubby pencil itself.
Shade & Texture– The lip color is named as Caramel Martini which gives a hint of what the shade would look like. The lip pencil is basically a caramel shade which bears light brown hue in it and has a sheer finish which gives a glossy look to the lips without any lip gloss on top of it.
Texture-wise the lip pencil is very soft and creamy which gives a smooth application on the lips and keeps it hydrated for long hours.
My Experience with Nyx Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie Caramel Martini:
So far as my thoughts about this lip pencil is concerned, I think it is a decent lip color which provides a glossy lip color which looks good on the lips and keeps the lips hydrated.
The shade is suitable for my skin tone and the sheer finish doesn’t bother much as the shade has light brown hue which easily hides any lip pigmentation. Had the shade been a true caramel and with a sheer finish then it might not be an obvious choice for those who have pigmented lip corners.
The lip pencil is devoid of any amount of shimmers and gives a soft sheer finish that looks naturally glossy.
The hydrating claim is true to an extent and you wont need to prime your lips with this lip pencil, which serves as a great staple while travelling or when you don’t have much time in hand to get ready and go out.
The lip pencil doesn’t need to be sharpened which is a good thing about it. It is also an ideal lip pencil that you would wish to carry on the go.
Overall, the lip pencil is a decent product and with an affordable price tag, I don’t think one should expect more from this.
What I like about Nyx Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie Caramel Martini:
- Retractable bullet packaging
- Doesn’t need to be sharpened
- Beautiful caramel brown shade
- Sheer glossy finish
- Hides lip pigmentation
- Suits all skin tones
- Hydrating on the lips
- Decent pricing
- Perfect for travelling
What I don’t like about Nyx Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie Caramel Martini:
- Sheer finish may be a dislike for some!
Will I recommend?– Well, yes I would like to recommend it to try as it is really a good staple lip pencil to carry along. The natural glossy finish looks beautiful for a change from the regular bold matte lip color.
