New Skin Care Regime – Follow With Me

New Skin Care Regime – Follow With Me

Hi Everyone!

I have been trying to write this post since three days but our next launch of #WISESHE brushes is keeping me occupied. Although I am not complaining about it because I am loving this new entrepreneurial challenge a lot. Usually, I go through lot of emotions in a day from being anxious, nervous, happy and way too 😀

Things are going pretty well till now and I am thankful to God for it..Those who don’t know we have launched our own brand of brushes which are exclusively available as Amazon right now. Link to the brush is here. You won’t find a similar brush with such soft bristles and multitasking ability in India and I am very proud of bringing it here. 🙂

Coming to the skin care I am following which is truly inspired by Rashmi from Indyabeauty Check out her facebook page here .

Initially, I started with Kaya and slowly realized that Kaya skin clinic gives temporary results. I am again going to do a video on this. I have done a video before on Skin Peeling and Laser experience of Kaya skin clinic before here.

But after going through Rashmi’s videos, I thought of investing in Ordinary brand skin care. I have been using this brand since a week and frankly speaking I just ordered whatever I saw in her video but this is not how it is supposed to be done. One needs to layer all the products properly on the skin to get the best results.

Ordinary Products In India

Ordinary  products are not that expensive and can be easily purchased from Checkout Cult Beauty Haul I did end up paying custom charges, so best is to stock them up when they are available on sale or if you can ask any INSTA seller to get them for you. I don’t know any insta sellers who sell ordinary product. I generally prefer to do my own site purchase and pay custom to it to avoid fakes.

How to layer Ordinary products?

I am not an expert in this and did some research and followed what Rash told me. Now my skin looks little brighter right now and thats about it. I am someone who believes in keeping patience and trying things for a long time and not getting instant results therefore I am going to give at least 3 -4 months to this range and might stretch it to six months if I see some results 🙂

1. First step

I remove my makeup  and then clean/wash my face with Forest Essentials Delicate Facial cleanser. Available on Amazon here. Some of you might find this as an expensive face wash but it lasts so long that if you do the maths you will find it absolutely worth the money. As it is getting really hot this face wash is ideal for oily, sensitive and normal skin. It cleanses the face without feeling scratchy and has this calming fragrance which I really like.

2. Second step

Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution (Read Glycolic Acid Peel Treatment Recommendation)- Got this from Initially the word Acid scared me but then I followed few blogs and read such great thing about this toning solution. Best thing about this toning solution is that it suits normal, oily, combination, dry and even sensitive skin. When one applied it on my skin, I did feel a light tingling sensation but that is because it is working. It has glycolic acid, amino acid, aloe vera, ginseng and tasmanian pepperbrry in it which helps in even out the skin texture. It has no parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Also, its unclogged pores beautifully and doesn’t have alcohol in it and its a vegan product..WOW!

3. Third step

After applying the toner I wait for around five minutes and then spray Forest essential Facial Tonic Mist pure rosewater. Although Rash uses Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief but I might get it next time. My skin feels pretty refreshed when I use  it  after applying the toner.

4. Fourth step

Applying The Ordinary Ascorbyl GLUCOSIDE solution 12% which is a brightening serum with Stabalized vitamin c in it.We all know Vitamin C products are so darn expensive but this one isn’t. It costs (Pound 8.9) and lasts for a long time. Although they have mentioned that it can be used under moisturizer and foundation but I just can’t think of it. It is so sticky that idea of putting it in morning is completely ruled out from my side. It is supposed to be applied twice a day but if one has sensitive skin then limit it to one and like I said it is so sticky that I am using it once a day only. If you are okay with stickiness then apply it before your moisturizer 🙂

5. Fifth Step

After every step I wait for five minutes, basically, I go and read a book with my daughter or check my phone or whatever but wait. Last step which I do is applying 100% plant – derived Squalne which is just of 5.5 pound  which is exceptional hydrator that can prevent the ongoing loss of hydration that can impair suppleness. Those who have dry skin can use it twice a day too and some people even use it in their hair but considering these products are not easily available in India I will stick to applying it on my face only.

This is all my night care regime. I know it might feel too much but it isn’t.

Also in morning I use The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors +HA which is basically is a non greasy moisturizer which is so good for oily skin. It deeply hydrates the skin without  making me feel greasy at all.I just apply over my Kaya serum which I am not much impressed with. If you know a good light weight serum then do let me know in the comment section.

I will update you more about this next month with before after pic. So see you next time 🙂

and thanking RASHMI from indyabeauty for introducing this to me .

  1. Hi Anamika. Ugh my first order from cult beauty got taxed too. I bought some products from The Ordinary too and honestly they haven’t wowed me so far! I wasn’t impressed with any of it even though they don’t break me out… I guess their range of products are really too ordinary for me! However i am definitely eyeing their new vitamin C powder and azelaic acid .
