Once the summers started I was eagerly waiting to get my hands on a Shower gel because summer time is the time when you really want to enjoy a nice bath to escape from the heat. So as soon I saw the catalogue, I decided to get the Oriflame Shower Gel with Revitalizing Apricot and White tea, because this looked like a nice citrus shower gel to me from the appearance.

Apricot oil is good for skin care. It is quickly absorbed by the skin and does not keep the skin oily when applied. Apricot is not just useful for maintaining the skin smooth and shiny, it also aids in treating a number of skin diseases including eczema, itching, scabies, etc.
White tea is rich in flavonoids, antioxidants that fight free radicals. White tea is also rich in alpha hydroxy acid and zinc, the key to smooth and blemish-free skin.

Price of Oriflame Shower Gel : Rs.298 INR for 200ml, got this on a discount for Rs.179

Oriflame Shower Gel with Revitalizing Apricot and White tea

Oriflame’s description about this shower gel: Bring summer to your shower with this freshly scented shower gel. Enriched with revitalising apricot extract and white tea.

Ingredients: AQUA, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, LAURETH-3, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, GLYCERIN, PARFUM, PEG-7 GLYCERYL COCOATE, SODIUM CITRATE, BENZOPHENONE-4, PANTHENOL, CAMELIA SINENSIS EXTRACT, 2-BROMO-2-NITROPROPANE-1,3-DIOL, PRUNUS ARMENIACA JUICE, CI 14700, CI 15985

My Experience with the Shower gel: The shower gel comes in a nice see through plastic bottle with a flip cap. The gel is little runny & lathers well. It doesn’t smell anything like apricots, it has a citrus fragrance. The shower gel produces nice lather & doesn’t dry out my skin but it leaves a soapy film & I had to keep rubbing the skin to get rid of the soapy film. It gives nice refreshing feeling after the bath, but the fragrance doesn’t stay for long but I guess most of the shower gels fragrance doesn’t linger for long, so I have no problem with that as long as I enjoy my refreshing bath 😉

What makes me like this the shower gel:

  • It has a nice fruity fragrance which is refreshing.
  • Lather well & gives nice foam.
  • The shower gel is little runny in texture so just a little amount is needed for the shower.
  • Comes in a see through bottle, so you get to know the amount of shower gel left before you run out of it.
  • It cleanses well & doesn’t dry out the skin.
  • 3-4 peas sized amount is enough to get a good lather, so this bottle is going to last for a while.

What makes me dislike the shower gel:

  • Leaves a soapy film, have to rinse well.
  • Little expensive at the regular price of Rs.298
  • Some people may not like the fact that the fragrance is not long lasting, but I’m Ok with it.

Final Word: All in all this is a nice shower gel with a pleasant smell & this is my favourite shower gel for summers. I’m definitely going to get this again if it’s on discount or else I will try other shower gels from Oriflame.

Recommendation: Yes I will definitely recommend this if you are getting bored using the regular soaps.

  1. these days i hearing a lot about oriflame… never tried it…..though i tried amway products they are nice but quite expensive……i think i must add some oriflame products too in my shopping list

  2. If its leaving behidn a soapy film I’d rather give it a miss 🙁 I love my TBS shower gels which are priced at almost the same level I guess.
