Oxyglow Strawberry Face Wash Review:

Those who know me by now will be aware of my weakness for strawberry scented products. I wish Colgate would make strawberry flavored toothpaste for adults as well 😀 When we were kids, my sister had a doll named Strawbella which had a strawberry scented locket. I would sniff the locket all day and lose myself in the yummy aroma. Ok, not really all day coz I had to go to school and all but just letting you know how much I love it :cute: Now since I can’t review the doll here, let me tell you about Oxyglow Strawberry face wash…the newest addition to my stash of face washes. :lashes:

My Experience with Oxyglow Strawberry Face Wash:

It comes in a white tube with a flip-top lid. It’s nice and user-friendly and doesn’t spill out too much product. The face wash is translucent pink in color and the consistency is like that of a gel. It applies smoothly and is easy to work with. The fragrance is that of strawberries but the slightly synthetic kind. It’s quite similar to Lakme Strawberry Face wash but with a twist. If you’re wondering what the twist is, well…the first time I began using this I was like “Oooooh strawberry face wash! Am gonna smell like a strawberry garden!”. But the strange thing is that once I started massaging the product onto my face, I felt the fragrance changing from yummy strawberries to rotting strawberries! :pain: It’s not entirely unbearable but it’s a very odd pungent smell that ruined the experience for me a bit. It lathers well (it BETTER lather with all the sulphates!!). Except for the sulphates part, I LOVE the list of ingredients. It’s such a unique combination of herbal goodness and I feel great using it. It washes off easily without any residue and it does not leave the skin feeling dry or stretchy. Skin feels soft and plump with a bit of dewiness. I know this is meant for normal to dry skin, but it suits my oily skin well too. It removes all traces of grease and it does not make my skin produce excess oil after I use it. Skin does not look matte but it does not appear oily either. I quite like this face wash but how I wish it had a better fragrance. I would love it all the more then :shy:

What I like about Oxyglow Strawberry Face Wash:

  • Lovely list of ingredients (except for the sulphates part of course)
  • Packaging is user-friendly and leak-proof
  • Consistency is perfect and easy to work with
  • Removes all traces of oil and dirt
  • Washes off easily without any residue
  • Does not leave skin dry or stretchy
  • Skin feels soft and supple
  • Skin looks dewy without being greasy
  • Did not break me out
  • Though it is meant for normal-dry skin, it suits my oily skin well
  • Reasonably priced

What I don’t like about Oxyglow Strawberry Face Wash:

  • Fragrance starts turning odd while massaging product onto face
  • Contains Sulphates
  • Availability

The last word:

This is a great face wash with a lot of herbal additives. It will suit all skin types and is a real treat to use especially in winters. The only major issue I have with it is the odd fragrance which I’ve learnt to deal with over time and it doesn’t bother me much now. I would say it’s worth a try

Rating: 4/5

                • lol…but no point having peachy complexion when it is dotted with blemishes :-(( I have to work super hard to not get my skin to break out…it’s hereditary n there’s nothing much i can do bout it :weep:

                  • I know Nafi! I have struggled with this issue for so long and now I am fighting these nasty marks which do not want to leave my face alone!

                    • hmm…since ure already seeing a derma i wud say just stick to what he/she prescribes. But the thing with all these medication is that the effects are so temporary. I remember one dermatologist who’z actually a distant family member once said :Once a patient, always a patient! :shutmouth:

                    • is the night cream one that contains benzoyl peroxide? Benzac ac or adaferin or sumthin like that?

                    • Will have to check the name Nafi! don remember :(, ghar jake batati hoon! Naah my dermat dint call me twice, she just gave the prescription and left me in peace 🙂

review of a doll  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    • I love the fragrance of the lakme one. But it does absolutely nothing for the skin. Lakme is good for winter but for summer i don’t feel it even cleanses my oily skin well 🙁 But i still adore the fruit blast range. Melon melt is my fav

  2. Nice review nafisa.. face wash with rotten smell :-/ seems to be a new brand.. i think there are more new brands coming up.. i have v sensitive skin.. i dont try anything other than cetaphil and dove soap..but u seem to explore more new products.. 🙂

    • Thanks Laxmi 🙂 hehe yea…i love experimentin with new products. It breaks the monotony of life 😛 But cetaphil is ceratinly the best for sensitive skin. But since it doesn’t lather and is kinda lotiony, i don’t feel very clean after i’ve used it :-/

      • oh… i hve comb-dry… it suits me well. i also use it as cleanser with cotton leaving a layer of it on my skin makes me glow and feel fresh, i mean it removes dullness.. but sometimes i get bored cos of using it again and again & cos of its medicine-like packaging..

  3. Strawberry .. Yummmmm .. Nafi I saw someone (I think you !!!) review Clean-n-clear ka morning Strawberry FW .. loved it .. and got it .. now ur tempting me to get this … :-/ … Hey I also got Clean-n-clear ka morning Green apple FW .. Smells like heaven .. and super nice to use .. !!! I like the review .. :-))
