Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil Review
How are you all doing? I am trying to be floatier and less moody so it’s a really busy time for me.
Before I talk about today’s product, let me share my recent discovery- I have found out a kohl pencil by a brand Skin Shades which is probably the in-house product of Schwan Stabilo Cosmetics. It is the same company that manufactures makeup for Lakme. I am not enjoying the new Eyeconic at all but this Skin Shades thing is the bomb. It is ultra dark and doesn’t budge all day. You cannot remove it with plain water even if you rub. New love for sure!
Now the product review on hand! Today I am reviewing an oil that Ana sent me. Palmer’s is a great brand for skin care so I was excited about using this oil. Let’s find out more.
About Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil
Price– INR 460 for 60 ml
The oil comes in a transparent bottle with a white flip top cap. The cap shuts tightly but I’ll not risk carrying it without packing it in a plastic bag.
Texture and Fragrance
The oil smells like chocolate! I mean a chocolaty oil is like a dream come true. It is very light and gets absorbed into the skin easily. The oil is yellowish in color.
My experience with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil
So, it is light and smells amazing but does it do what it claims? It is a good face moisturizer but does nothing more than that. I haven’t noticed any change in uneven skin tone. I think I have the worst hippo-skin I use it every alternate night while the directions on the pack say to use it thrice daily. So maybe I am not getting results as I am not following the instructions. I have been using it since last one month and I cannot use the same product thrice on my face. I prefer using different products for day & night skin care and that’s it. Three-time skin care is not for me so even if this product works when used in the prescribed way; I would never find that out. Using a product thrice a day is asking too much and I don’t like the idea. I tried applying it during the day but it’s heavy for day usage on oily skin.
Even though I used it just at night it gave me a few pimples so I don’t think that it’s the best thing for oily skin.
For the rest of the body, it is too light to provide proper hydration. My skin feels stretchy even after applying it. I think this oil is more suitable for climates that are somewhat humid. Scars, I don’t have and I haven’t seen any difference on stretch marks on my thighs
To me, it’s just a light moisturizer for face and body that is asking for too much attention.
What I like about Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil
- The chocolate laden fragrance.
- Light moisturizer for face.
- Girls with dry skin can use it on face during day as well.
What I don’t like about Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil
- As per instructions, it needs to be used thrice a day that is too much for me.
- Does not provide adequate hydration to dry body-skin.
- Not effective on uneven skin tone and stretch marks.
- Needed to be used thrice a day.
- It is light but still not fit for oily skin as it might cause breakouts.
Do I recommend? Just for its heavenly scent.
