Paneer butter Masala


This is an instant paneer dish and doesn’t requires special ingredients which you have to specially purchase to make other dishes. Almost all ingredients are available at home for this dish. This dish is quick to make and taste exactly like restaurant Panner butter masala. For those who are diet conscious can make it with tofu. Recipe will taste almost the same.

Ingredients(Serving 3-4)

· 250 gm Paneer

· 2 chopped Onion

· 3 Tomatoes finely chopped

· 1 inch ginger chopped

· 1 green chili

· 4-5 cloves garlic chopped(If you don’t like garlic then can eliminate it)

· 2tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder(You can use any chili powder its just that Kashmiri chili powder

gives nice color to the recipe.)

1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1 Cup Fresh cream (you can add mil if you don’t have cream but cream gives restaurant curry taste

· Salt to taste

· 12 pieces of cashew nut

· 1tbsp oil

· ½ tsp cumin seeds(jeera)

· ½ cup water

· 1tsbp butter


Step 1: Heat oil in a pan and cumin seeds into it.

Step2: Add the chopped onion and saute it.

Step3: Add chopped tomatoes.

Step4: Add chopped garlic and ginger and green chili.

Step5: Add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt , turmeric powder and garam masala powder.

Step6: When masalas are cooked add ½ cup water into it and simmer it for 3 minutes.

Step 7: Cool down the mixture and fine grind it.

Step8:Take butter in a pan now and add the grinded mixture and 1 cup milk or fresh cream.

Step 9.Let the gravy get thicken and add paneer cubes into it.

Your tasty panner butter masala is ready to eat. Enjoy it with Naan or paratha.

Please note that this gravy will be little lighter then what above picture shows as I took the pic when 3-4 hours had already passed after I made it.
