Coconut oil for hair and skin care

In my last post of Baba ramdev product haul I showed you guys how excited I was to get this coconut oil.I have read so many benefits of coconut oil in weight loss, skin care and hair care that I was too excited to use this product.I used it for making home made hair oil for premature graying and hair fall with curry leaves and completely loving it.

Price of Ptanjali Tejas 100% pure coconut oil is Rs 40(Yes !!! at this price it is a steal)

What I like most about this product is that it is so thin in consistency that I don’t  mind using it on my skin  unlike other coocnut oil which are so thick and gives that yukky feeling

What the  product claims-Made from finest coconuts, Patanjali Tejus Double filtered coconut oil is a premium cooking and consumer oil that is pure and non-RBD (Refined , bleached and Deodorized) unlike RBD coconut oil, which uses a chemical process of extraction that alters the natural characterstics of the oil, Patanjali Tejus Double Filtered Coconut oil is pure and without any presrevatives, offering you the great rste, aroma and goodness of Natural coocnut oil
My experience with the product-

Coconut oil for skin– I did deep cleansing with this oil, removed my make up with it and massaged my skin with it.It is an effective moisturizer for all types of skin which of course includes dry skin as well.I always knew the benefits of coconut oil but I was looking for 100% coconut oil without any bleaching and other preservatives which doesn’t give much result.

If you have dry and flaky skin then do use this oil .There is just no chance or adverse side effect of this oil.
Applying coconut oil delays wrinkles and sagging skin which is prominent with age.I have been massaging the oil on my skin and my skin has become quiet smooth .If you know that coconut has been used my various Ayurvedic center in treating various skin problems which include psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections. This is why coconut is a basic ingredient of various body care products such as soaps ,lotions and creams.

I now prefer using this oil for removing my eye make up rather than oilve oil because it is much lighter for my oily skin ,It doesn’t give any yukky residue and there is no irritation in my eyes.
Coconut oil for hair- Coconut oil is a great hair conditioner and treats flaky skin which is caused by dry scalp or a fungal /yest condition like seborrhea dermatitis, coconut oil helps because it is a great moisturizer.Best way to use coconut oil is leave it overnight.(Do protect your pillow please).Coconut oil helps in re-growth of damaged hair as it provides excellent proteins to nourish damaged hair.

There are other benefits of this oil such as it helps in improving the digestive system and helps in weight loss too.I will try listing down all the benefits later.

  31. There are two types of coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil is made from fresh coconuts and is non comedogenic, usually used for massage oils, traditional Philippine delicacies, salad dressing, and such. Refined coconut oil is made from copra (sundried coconut) and I’m not sure if this is comedogenic, but this is more commonly used as cooking oil, great for frying.
