Philosophy The Color of Grace Pallet Review, Swatches & FOTD

Philosophy The Color of Grace Pallet

Today, I’ll be reviewing a very fun pallet from Philosophy. It is “The color of grace” pallet.

Philosophy The Color of Grace Pallet

Price: $37.50.
It was available at at approx 800 INR only.

About Philosophy The Color of Grace Pallet:

It is a springtime palette that works if you’re looking for something soft, elegant, and delightfully feminine. It contains two sheer lip glosses (Be Sweet and In Love), two neutral eye shadows (Angel and Dream), cream highlighter (7th Heaven), powder blush (Pure Joy), and powder highlighter (Amazing Grace).

The packaging: This is the best thing about this pallet. The pallet is a pretty pale pink leathered book style pallet, with white stitching on the edges. It is cute, feminine, compact, lightweight and easy to carry.

Product wise details:

Lip Glosses:

Be sweet- It is a sheer pale pink with shimmers. On my lips it shows no such color other than the glossiness and shimmery sheen.
In Love- It is a sheer, medium rose pink with subtle silver shimmers. It gives a subtle flush of colors to lips and beautiful sheen.
Both of the glosses stay for 2-3 hours at max but keeps lips moisturized for hours. They are lightweight and feel comfortable on lips.

Eye Shadows:

Angel- It is the palest of pink eye shadows which look almost white on eyes. It has little shimmers which doesn’t show much on eyes, but adds sheen to the color. The smooth satiny texture helps to blend easily. Great as inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight.
Dream: A terribly pigmented reddish brown eye shadow. With even multiple swipes, it fails to show up on eye lids.

7th Heaven All-Over Illuminator:

It is a beautiful pinkish champagne cream highlighter that looks gorgeous on cheeks. Blends easily, has pink and silver shimmers which are not chunky and don’t look tacky, well pigmented and stays long. It can be applied heavily or sheered out for that gorgeous radiant glow. I love it 🙂

Pure Joy Powder Blush:

A pretty blue-based pink with subtle gold shimmers. Decently pigmented, satiny textured, blends easily, gives a natural glow to cheeks and stays pretty long.

Amazing Grace Shimmering Face Powder:

It is a shimmering, pale pink powder which brightens the complexion instantly and is flattering on fair to medium skin tone.

What I like about Philosophy The Color of Grace Pallet:

  • Amazing compilation of blushers, highlighters, gloss and eye shadows.
  • Pretty shades.
  • Well pigmented blush, highlighter, and face powder.
  • Staying power of the products is decent.
  • The textures of all the products are creamy or satiny and blend easily.
  • Pleasant fragrance.
  • Attractive packaging.
  • Cute and sleek package which glides easily into your vanity, and travel friendly.
  • Mirror inside for easy touch ups.
  • Not very pricey if bought from

What I don’t like about Philosophy The Color of Grace Pallet:

  • The “Dream” eye shadow has terrible pigmentation.
  • The lip glosses are not that well pigmented, staying power is mediocre too.
  • Availability.

Final Thoughts (Recommendation/ Repurchase):
The Color of Grace has products for face, eyes and lips and they are mostly pink or with pink undertones. Pretty, sweet and very feminine. The purse-sized pallet is easy to carry and looks cute. It is a great product that can be gifted to your teen daughters when they are ready to start their journey to the makeup land. It is such an adorable collection. Though my favourites are the blush and the illuminator, they give such nice healthy glow. The lip-glosses are sheer and the colour doesn’t really show up but the texture is nice and non-sticky. Overall it is a soft, delightfully feminine, decent pallet.

Regarding repurchase, well, not this pallet, but I seriously want to try the full sized blush and illuminator.

Rating: 3.5/5
