Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Primer Review

Hi All,

I’ve already explained the use of a corrector..Pink correctors are usually used to combat under eye circles or any extreme veining incases of thin skin. A pastel pink also counteracts yellow tones in the skin. I picked this product simply because I wanted a skin brightener and love Physicians Formula products. I saw this and thought its quote perfect for my skin tone.

My take on Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Primer:

  • Packaging: This product comes in a chubby tube which needs to be twisted to dispense the product. The brush is broad and look quite attractive. This does have a clear lid and is sturdy enough to be carried around.
  • Price:  $10 approx
  • Coverage & Usage: It needs to be twisted to dispense the product. The product itself is fragrance free…Even though this has a brush I still prefer using a brush to blend it out. Coverage wise it conceals quite a bit and brightens the area as desired.Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Primer review+ physicians formula
  • Texture: This is neither too thick nor runny. It can be layered if needed  and is easy enough to blend. I usually use my Sigma F86 since the shape of the brush makes it easy to get the product into tinier hard to get into areas like the inner corner of the eyes. This doesn’t crease at all luckily and is a nice base for makeup.
  • Staying Power: It stays on for the entire day..even during winters…But then again, My skin is combi type and those with oily skin may have a different experience.Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Primer review+ physicians formula primer

My Verdict:I have a love-hate relationship with this product. It’s great at brightening and concealing darkness under my eyes but honestly its a tad bit inconvenient. For starters, it dispenses waay too much product even if you twist it lightly and it just continues and continues and this wastes a lot of product. You can even see how messy it is in one of t epics where you can see it all collected in the lid.

I like that it neutralizes the dullness under my eyes. My dark circles aren’t as bad as before so this works effectively but in case you have extremely deep DCs, this may not cover it all up. Application with the brush this comes with isn’t too comfy I feel….I find that it leaves streak marks and doesn’t blend out the product and rather lets it all just sit pretty on my face. So I use the Sigma brush which works perfectly in blending this out.

I don’t classify this as a must have at all..One can conceal undereye circles with a normal concealor like Kryolan derma color concealor which also does a fab job. Yes, this does work very well for those with thin skin and veining. It did not break my out..not during summers also when my t-zone acts up. During winters it actually also keeps my skin moisturized which is probably the Minerals at work..
