Pineapple is one of my most favorite fruits and I love the vibrant tropical flavor that balances the tastes of sweet and tart. Iâ€™ve always enjoyed eating Pineapples and how theyâ€™d make me feel afterwards. Besides being a yummy fruit and satisfying our taste buds, it also satisfies many health related needs. S today we will be discussing about the health benefits of Pineapple.
A great source of minerals and Vitamins
Pineapples are loaded with vitamins and minerals that promote good health and glowing skin. It contains vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium and is also enriched with fiber. This yumm fruit is also low in fat and cholesterol.
Prevents Cough and Colds
Vitamin C is known as our breakfast cereal for the body. Pineapples are rich in vitamin C and thus is proves to very helpful in fighting off viruses that cause cough and colds. A few slices or cubes of pineapple can keep the viruses at bay. Even when you are already infected with such ailment, pineapples can help you. Take few pieces of pineapples daily along with the right medications prescribed by your doctor.
Pineapple is also known to build and maintain strong bones. They contain high amount of manganese which help in strengthening bones and connective tissues. Researchers say that a cup of pineapple juice can provide a 73% of the required manganese for a day. 73% of manganese boost from just a cup of water. Regular consumption of pineapple helps to fight against arthritis.
Loosening mucus and prevents clotting
This fruit has bromelain, which is not only effective in suppressing coughs, but also helps in loosening mucus. Thus very effective if anybody is suffering from lung cancer.
